It can but we don't have to shock her, just beeping noise is enough to curb her behavior. She started jumping out of no where! It was a bad habit when

Oops, when we first got her and it's come back. It just took 2 days on wearing her collar when company comes and she's been great! We have a house full of teenagers for lunch Monday-Friday so it's important she behaves.

Frankie was left outside 24/7 in the Michigan winters, she was only 6 months old when we stole her in the middle of the night from a strangers backyard. You could count every rib and every vertebrae! She didn't know a single command and wasn't house trained at all. We spent over a thousand on her vet bills the first 2 weeks we had her and I didn't leave the house for 2 months to get her trained when we first got her so a lot of lost wages too. She sleeps on a $300 big barker bed when she doesn't sleep with my husband and I, has traveled to 5 different states, and has a family who adores her. She sadly still has her bad tendencies from the traumas of her first 6 months of life even though she's 2.5. I'm going to assume you've never owned a dog strong enough to eat you, but when you do they have to be obedient to a fault. When we first got Frankie we got a shock collar for her and since you've obviously never used one let me give you a lesson. All it takes is 2-3 actual shocks. 2 years later when we put the collar on, that's all you have to do is put the collar on and it's a learned response. The collars have a vibrate and beeping noise, when she was little I'd beep then shock, so after that all she needed is the beeping noise and she straightens up. I'm definitely one of the cruelest people you'll ever meet! Out last pit bull we rescued who was tied to a tree outside an abandoned house....he had an occasional shock collar too.

@ I didn’t say you were a bad person… I said shock collars are cruel. I don’t doubt that you’re a great person but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s cruel to shock a dog who is only doing what is natural to them. They can’t understand the point of the collar, only that it hurts or that they don’t like it. And that is sad. Dogs bark. Don’t punish them for it.

You are making up an entire scenario in your head! I never said I shock my dog when she barks! 😂😂 My dog had a shock collar on for 2 days to get her to stop jumping because I have a house full of teenagers Monday-Friday for lunch and when you have other people's children in your home with a 70lbs dog she needs to act correctly. You are calling me cruel, a shock collar doesn't buy itself and put itself on a dog. You're just trying to skate around it. 😉

@ jumping? Wow. Also, you can be a good person who makes a bad decision. Doesn’t make you a bad person. But, it’s your dog so shock her if you want. I’m sure she’ll understand. It’s just my opinion that it’s cruel because it hurts them and they don’t understand. It would be no different than shocking a baby for crying. They can’t help it. Especially animals… they jump because they get exited and then BOOM all of a sudden they hurt and they don’t know why. That’s sad. AND cruel. Willfully causing pain or suffering IS cruel. Have a good one ✌️
