I have 2 - 20' containers that smell like noxious plastic fumes and such. Will this work for that type of smell? My smell is kinda harsh but I don't want to resort to strong chemical cleaning.

Cheap powder laundry detergent. Sprinkle all over the floor. Let it sit there until it disappears.

would this work with a strong chemical-type of smell? worth a try considering the risk vs reward. Thanks for posting. heck, by this logic, baking soda may also work.

@@freidrichnietzsche6643 I have tried it many times on gas spills from equipment as well as kerosene spills. Will not hurt to try.

I bought a 2006 40' container in Florida and mine smells like flowers? Could the smell be flowers or more likely bug spray? I'm going to using mine for storage and a garage, if it is bug spray is it okay to be in there for a couple hours at a time? The lable says it was treated using IM/Tailileum 300/2006

If a container sold to you did not specify it was Dry Van (used with dry goods) then it can very possibly be spray. We recommend airing out the container hours at a time if possible while the container is empty. If the floor is wood, that could very well be where the smell is coming from.
