Its shipped for the same reason anyone ships anything. Because they can, art influences people and people influence art. As long as you interact with it respecting other people's rights to not have that shoved in their face so does the shipper have the right to indulge in whatever they want.

Honestly, I’ve shipped them for a while because they have such a wonderful relationship. Yes it is odd that I ship two sisters but I’ve found the best fan fictions written about Elsa and Anna are them not being sisters but Enemies to friends/to lovers. It opens up the difficult challenge of writing completely different backstories for each character since we can’t use the already cannon history of the two sisters. There’s a lot of creative writing within the Elsanna fan fiction world that I wish was spread to other fandoms like Heathers, Teen Titans, and Percy Jackson. The community is still very active and has remained one of the most frequently updated fan fiction ships since 2013. The writing is also more thought out and structured. Some fictions reaching 50+ chapters and still going. It has been and will, probably, remain one of my top 10 ships.

I've shipped them since I was a kid 🤷‍♀ them being sisters doesn't gross me out but it's not the reason I ship them either.

It’s interesting lol but I don’t ship them cuz they’re sisters. I WISH they weren’t sisters. I guess it’s cuz of the love and how they are with each other. The bond and how they save each other. They’re just so good together. Just wish they weren’t sisters. Now some people ship them BECAUSE they’re sisters. Yikes.

I laughed at the bold big and blue *'INCEST'* bit longer than I should've. No fandom is free of weirdos that ship the weird, problematic, or downright odd. Sam/Dean of Supernatural, Sansa/Jon of Game of Thrones. It doesn't matter how implicit a relationship is made to the audience Ships like Tony Stark/Peter Parker will always be around. 'Ship and let ship ' Is my typical stance. On the subject of Elsanna specifically. I ship it, mostly for the value of petty defiance against Darth Mickey. With all the power and influence Disney has accrued in the last several years. Taking part in some small ways to widen the damage of these big blotches upon their properties brings me more joy you can know. For all the virtue and goodness weaved into their movies, It doesn't stop them from cutting deals to make Movies like the Mulan Remake while averting their eyes to the suffering of innocent people. *FUCK DISNEY!* EDIT: Had more to write on the subject.
