The fact that H.G. asks "How did you get into fashion?" after Lenore asks him how he got into inventing is so great. Normally, a female's character's preoccupation with clothes would be ignored and wouldn't even be considered a factor worth mentioning, but he treated it as a legitimate interest and I just love the writers for that.

there's a Christie story about a guy consuming poison that acted slowly so it was very difficult to pinpoint when he was "murdered". I find it possible that the killer has also read Christie and is emulating some of her methods? But, once again, Christie wrote so much you're bound to stumble upon a method she used in a murder mystery

Aw, it's getting harder to watch them die, now that I'm getting attached to them! I'm not a huge fan of shipping any two people who make eye contact, but Lenore and Wells have great chemistry. Actually, I take it back. I don't ship them. They are my new brotp. Lenore can't die (I hope), but I'd be super sad if Wells died. It's looking like he will, though, since each episode ends in death. Also, before Wilde revealed that he knows that Eliot's a girl, I was hoping for a subplot in which he falls for her, and she has to have a super awkward conversation...

My favourite character? I have 3. Firstly, Charlotte Brontë, this is a huge achievement by Ashley Clements, as Charlotte is exactly the type of person I hate the most, totally full of themselves and highly critical of others (or should I say, full of pride and prejudice). Joey’s Ernest Hemingway has electric presence. I found Clayton’s forlorn Fyodor endearing. He had me at “I bring Vodka”. RIP Fyodor.

So they all die in a way related to their books.... ignoring Eddie, Louisa May had that coughing fit, which connects to the tuberculosis that Beth in Little Women had. Mary Shelley was electrocuted, the opposite of how the monster in Frankenstein was brought to life. And Fyodor was struck in the head with an axe.... just like the victim old lady in Crime and Punishment. This is getting even more exciting.
