Townsfolk is a must. We played basic and were waiting to clear workers to complete building a ship, with townsfolk you can subs one worker for another.

Agree, and thankfully it comes with the game standard now for anyone picking it up recently.

The draft seems odd. It's much more usual (in drafting games generally) for the players to simultaneously draft from several different hands, rather than the first player getting first bite of every hand as you explained it here.

And yet upon reading the rules, I see you taught it right. This seems to be a major disadvantage to the player going last in the first round.

@@Hakucho64 I was about to reply to your first post. While I certainly to make some snafu's :D this one is the starting player is always drawing first. Doing it 3 times, it never says someone else is the new starting player.

after clearing the board, can you then put a different meeple on the card to discard and get a gold?

The next player can, sure. The player that uses Gatekeeper would have used their turn, and unable to to use Jeweler.

This guy did not prepare for this video at all! He kept stumbling over himself, lots of um's. And then he kept forgetting the words for certain actions or cards. Then he would begin to explain an action and then backtrack to an action he needed to explain first. And whenever he brought cards to the camera, we can't read because he's out of focus. Then when he prepared the first hands, he didn't actually plan out hands to help us. Everything was ship cards. It's not helping us see true strategy or what we would see in a normal turn. Make an effort if you want to be a board game reviewer on youtube. It's not an easy job. Try or don't waste our time on a video that made the game more confusing.

Thanks for the feedback JP. This was likely one of, if not the first video I did. I was definitely still trying to find my footing - not the same thing when explaining to the tablemates or group.
