Shirdi Sai Baba - Practise Dhyana Everyday

Sai Baba emphasised the significance of Dhyana for any spiritual aspirant. There are many sayings of his mentioned throughout the Sai Satcharita. Aai gives some basic guidance to devotees on how they must start with their practice, the importance of doing it continuously, and keeping one's focus on one deity, and putting one's heart and soul into it. Some important things Aai mentions in this video and in other interactions: Timing - Sit for meditation at a fixed time from 5am to 6am everyday. Start by lighting some incense and keeping Baba's photo (or your deity's) and observe it for a few minutes. Close your eyes, do not move, and focus your attention on the point between your eyes. At first, the mind will retaliate but over time, one gets habituated. One can begin slowly, use a timer, from 10 minutes slowly increase it to one hour. Aai says, one will develop an intuition and experience many insights with dhyana, but that is not the goal of one's practice. It is to purify and make the mind focussed, so one can focus on God or Baba continuously. Some quotes of Sai Baba on Dhyana are mentioned below from the Sai Satcharita chapters 18 and 19 ----- "My method is quite unique. Remember well, this one story, and it will be very useful. To get the knowledge (realization) of the Self, Dhyana (meditation) is necessary. “If you practice it continuously, the Vrittis (thoughts) will be pacified. Being quite desireless, you should meditate on the Lord, Who is in all the creatures, and when the mind is concentrated, the goal will be achieved. “Meditate always on My formless nature, which is knowledge incarnate, consciousness and bliss. If you cannot do this, meditate on My Form from top to toe as you see here night and day. “As you go on doing this, your Vrittis will concentrate on one point and the distinction between the Dhyata (meditator), Dhyana (act of meditation), Dhyeya (this meditated upon) will be lost and the meditator will be one with the Consciousness and be merged in the Brahman. “The (mother) tortoise is on one bank of the river, and her young ones are on the other side. She gives neither milk, nor warmth to them. Her mere glance gives them nutrition. The young ones do nothing, but remember (meditate upon) their mother. “The tortoise glance is, to the young ones, a down-pour of nectar, the only source of sustenance and happiness. Similar is the relation, between the Guru and disciples." "If you take this story to heart and remember it well, your state will be sweet as the sugar-candy, all your desires will be fulfilled and you will be happy." "Hear this story, meditate on it and assimilate its spirit. Then you will always remember and meditate on the Lord, Who will manifest Himself to you."

I am a Sai bhakt and i remember once in shirdi my stay was only for one day and i felt bad tht i wnt be able to shop, i went to the hotel and found myself not in a position to visit Sai, i was heartbroken, i cried a lot and shouted at him for punishing me, the next day my husband and kids went fr three darshan, the chavdi, dwarkamaayee and samadhi mandir and i kept waiting outside, all the 3 times i a saw a fakir looking at me, i was scared, the third time whn i was waiting outside dwarkamaayee the same fakir called me frm behind i was shocked, he asked me to buy a bag fr him, the shopkeeper too was shocked, i bought the bag and told the shopkeeper to give the fakir as i cud not, bt the fakir insisted on me giving him, i gave him and had tears in my eyes as i knew its my baba, my daughter came running to see him bt cud only see babas feet and they were quite big, i am blessed.love u my baba, i hv many experiences to share in my life.

Talking about this channel and miracles, three events happened quite recently which are worth mentioning. 1) The day we published the ICU story, it was published at 9 AM and at 9.30 AM in a very strange way, we received a key with a key chain, which had the same Mantra on it and a photo of Sai Baba. Its the same mantra as mentioned in the video by Meenaji. This video took off and was watched with 1,00,000 views within a week. 2) The next day, someone invited us to a Aarti program of Babas followed by Mahaprasad. Due to a busy edit, I was in two minds, but I did go and carried my camera. That day recorded the Rose miracle story. I requested that I may leave early as I had a lot of editing to work on, and as I was taking some footage of the aarti, and wanted to leave, the camera refused to STOP Recording or even switch off. For one whole hour it did not turn off! At the time, Shankarji (the person who shared the rose miracle story) he came upto me from the Aarti and told me you cannot leave until you have Mahaprasad. :) 3) The third day, I was looking to purchase two lenses, they were priced at about 1600 USD and 1400 USD on Amazon.com & B&hphoto. I had recently upgraded my kit and was just putting these on a wishlist. Very strangely there is a sale only of a few items on one Amazon.in storefront! and these two lenses are sold with about a 40 percent discount! So that completed the kit. For the first two years we have 950 subscribers, in the last 3 weeks we have had more than 5400 subscribers and more than 29500 watch hours! It simply is unprecedented. The support and love from all the loving devotees and Baba's grace is overwhelming. It is sheerly only his Will and doing. May this work inspire devotees and they receive Baba's grace and what he wished to give everyone abundantly i.e. Spiritual Realization

@@priyarewa8337 There are many ways of meditation. The aim is the Supreme Self. Now when I meditate, just be still and silent, focusing inside the body. At first, can chant some name of Allah or recite important verses in Quran. Sai is also the name of Allah, the Supreme Self. Everything will go in natural way, just enjoy being alone with Allah only. Rama is also the name of Allah. The sun, the moon, the sky, the cloub, the stars, water, fire, the image of Sadguru all can lead us quiet and close to Allah, the Lord inside us. Meditation in the deep sense, is the same as deep sleep, but awaken. In deep sleep, we have no consciousness but in meditation we fully aware we are now in the state like deep sleep. Shirdi Sai is my Guru, Allah and Sai is one only. The image and body of Shirdi Sai is perishable, His real Self is eternal that is Allah, the Samartha. Meditation just enjoy being alone. The highest stage is aloneness. That aloneness is liberation, the fullest contentment. World happiness does not worth to have comparing to the spiritual contentment.

@@nirguna4826 that's a very good explanation. Recently, I did my reading of sai satcharitra saptah where we have to complete it in 7 days. While I was doing the saptah, on the first day , I told myself that I will wake up at 4 am and do meditation. That morning I couldn't get up and I had two dreams one I saw myself meditating. And the second one I saw shirdi Baba picture. I feel it's a sign that he was trying to help me. No matter how much I try I can't wake up so early. Do you have any suggestions? I dare not try alarm clock coz I have my husband and kid and I wouldn't want to disturb them . Btw your surname lam sounds like a Chinese. Are you from Singapore?

@@priyarewa8337 You have very wonderful experience to see Shirdi Sai picture in the dream. If you cannot wake up so early, then be natural, just wake up at the time you can. Actually alarm clock is the best. I usually wake up a few times at night before dawn, so it is not difficult for me to meditate at midnight or before dawn. But my progress takes long time to achieve. I also experienced the period that I felt hard to meditate at night before 4 o'clock. Bit by bit the accumulation of the effort will be great. As you have your family, your karma yoga is to serve your family well. Just try to wake up as early as possible bit by bit. Do not push yourself too much. Just enjoy life whatever it might be. If you wake up late, still keep calm and enjoy your late meditation. It is the same. Or you can try to sleep early like at 9 o'clock, if you can. I think if you eat less, you can wake up early because eating too much especially at night will cause you tired for digestion and rest. Regular fast is very good for spirituality. For me, every day is Allah's day, not my day, so Allah bless my faith. Nice to share with you. I also read Satcharitra every Thursday. I am Chinese from Hong Kong.

Very much true..... I would like to share something ,which dragged me out from morning Nithyakarma.. I use chant so many mantras, and spending hours of time. But watching the time.. Means there is no passion or concerns, just doing for sake. When baba approach me and said. If I continue same way, I might loose my beliefs and culture. He Sai me "there is nothing Big or small, powerful or simple god's. You shouldn't gauge the god. You just follow the one who, acknowledge your prayer, the one who, you get affirmation. After reading Sai charitha. My life changed drastically.. I am not able to describe how. Now I can't even thinking harm someone. Coz he is just with me all time.. Even now.. Sai ram... Aham Bramasmi

I am a devotee of Saibaba but I also worship other forms of god. And I don't see anything wrong in doing that. For me god is one whether it is Shri Ram, Bhagwaan Vishnu, Bhole Shankar or the param bramha parmeshwar Sainath. I believe in the supreme power and my saibaba brings me closer to the god in a beautiful manner.
