Oui c'est bien un chanson française "Mourir sur scène" créée par Dalida, à ne pas oublier car quelquefois Dame Shirley se permet de dire que cette chanson a été écrite pour Elle. Rendons à César ce qui est à César !!! Ce qui n'enlève rien à sa magistrale interprétation

J'adore Bassey mais pour le coup , son interprétation ici est naze. D'abord le texte si personnel pour Dalida est ici transformé et en fait quelque chose d'anodin. Passe encore car on ne peut pas adapter en respectant mot pour mot , les deux langues étant si "dissymétriques", c'est toujours très difficile. Mais cette façon de bouger avec les flonflons de sa robe et de hurler à tout va n'a aucun sens même à l'intérieur des paroles anglaises. Bassey peut être super comme elle peut parfois (souvent?) ressembler dangereusement à une parodie d'elle-même, plus encore que les travestis qui l'imitent. Elle aurait gagné dans la partie ultérieure de sa carrière à remettre un peu de sobriété dans sa voix et dans ses gestes. Ne pas tout chanter pareil, enchaîner une chanson avec grandes notes avec un morceau plus retenu afin de faire respirer son tour de chant. Streisand fait ça superbement. J'adore Bassey et en même temps , elle me lasse...les morceaux plus retenus , elle les a pourtant, dans ses albums ( je les ai tous).
