PJ Hanna - The world hopes so, but at 80 years old and counting, giving long concerts is probably out for this great dame of voice and song. But, you can always count on her showing up for special occasions and TV appearances. Dame Shirley is one of those few lucky entertainers who has managed to retain her vocal abilities into her 8th decade, which is astonishing. But, she contributes to her god given assets by performing grueling vocal excercises on a regular basis to keep her voice strong. It has WORKED!

Yes, I understand she has a regular routine of diet, exercise, and vocal exercises daily. My comment was more regarding appearances rather than touring. I also understand by watching an interview that she doesn't really have an interest in touring any more. It looks glamorous, but that's what we see. Dame Shirley said she is more interested in doing appearances and singing 2 or 3 songs. I'd go for that! Hey she could start a five year tour. Who says she has to do a tour and finish in a year? Just plan appearances here and there. ;-) She could maybe go to the places she loves or places she's never been, like my town ;-) As Glen said, how about a FB campaign? Do you know how to send correspondence to Shirley? With FB and online communication, no one gives addresses you can actually send letters to. I wish that wasn't true, I would love to write her, if I had an address. Anyway, thank you for posting this video. It was fantastic! I love our Shirley. Cheers!
