Separate into individual stalks and replant in strategic locations. I plan on using them for border plantings since they’re so vigorous and may help to deter animals and pests. I’ll also cook with the smaller onion stalks as I need them.

Why don't you have bulbs? Shirley Hammond onions were small pearl multiplier onions, not a bunching onion.

I have not had any luck in growing onions. I don't guess I understand how to pick the correct seed to plant for growing them. I don't understand the different or if there is a difference in bunching onions and multiplying.

Bunching onions are similar to multiplier onions, but multiplier onions can also make 100+ onion stalks on 1 bunch. Bunching onions multiply, but don’t make as many onions as multipliers.

I apologize, but my plants dried out during a drought, right after I transplanted them. They’re a hardy variety, but it was my fault for not watering them during that crucial time.
