I think you did a great job with the water color pencils. I truly love the very very soft look of the flowers. This made me even to get out my budget water color pencils (which where hiding in the back of my drawer) because the better ones did give too much pigment to achieve this very faint or pale look. So thank you for that idea. :-) Oh and I hope you'll use them more often.

Yes I know this is quite an old video, but I have a question: You used that black Sharpy and as you stated in the video these do bleed through. Since this wonderful book (I love it waiting to get the Dutch imprint for my birthday ;)) is double sided, what happend to the other side of the page? The Result is awesome and I love seeing different technikes combined. Your pictures are very inspirational. Sorry for any English mistakes it's not my native language.

magnifique comme tout le temps j'ai également les prismacolors et je maitrise a peut près les dégradés mais je n'arrive pas a faire des coloriages comme toi l'inspiration ne vient pas je ne voit pas les dessin comme ca peut etre que je n'ai pas les bons livres ???

Thanks for the suggestion! I need to try transparent gesso someday! I’m worried about the water absorbing problem, and the watercolor pencil didn't blend very well on coloring book paper. I think the gesso ground may help:)

Shirley I did a few pages with the Derwent Inktense pencils . I made the clear gesso myself and the result is very good! No bleed through and no buckling :) Perhaps you can give it a try !

I'll definitely have a try. I have Derwent Inktense too, for me they are kind of difficult to control. I need more practice haha
