If I were Nintendo's CEO, I would make 3 iconic voice dubs for Mario in each game just for continuity: English dub = The same deep, raspy voice with a Brooklyn accent as heard in Hotel Mario. Italian dub = The iconic high-pitched, enthusiastic All-Italian speaking voice we all know and love. Japanese dub = Where Mario talks with the same voice actor from the OVA adaptation.

I like Kevin Afghani as Mario, Martinet made his voice for Mario for very very long, and even if i respect him, i admit he didn't sounded really good by the years when he became older, but the error i see on Afghani's voice it's that it's a recreation of Martinet's voice, but not the early one, the NEW ONE, making him still sound old, even through he is pretty young, i think if Afghani can he can do a imitation of Charles young voice, or they should have find a person that can do the 90s voice imitation.
