Even Odin once mocked him because Kratos never knew what it was like to be a god who is admired and loved. But now he is. What an epic way to end his story here.

37:12 This moment. This moment right here reflects something much deeper than Kratos becoming the All father. Look at his portrait closely. His skin is no longer pale like snow, but golden in color. They flow away from him and to the rest of the world. By the gods, Kratos' ashes are taken away from his skin once again. He collapses because everything that he has done can be redeemed, everything that was once in the past can now remain there. His wife, his daughter, his brother, Faye. His curse ends as he assumes his new role as savior and leader. The ashes of his old family now travel and now become one with the realms. The Ghost of Sparta will die. Kratos remains, a redeemed warrior who not only has a new purpose, but now can forgive himself. A masterpiece of a game, a masterpiece of a story.

Well, if the story is the only thing you are looking for from an extend ok, but the game is far from a masterpeice. God of war if my favorite franchise of all time and this one suffered a lot from bad pacing, meaningless characters, dated gameplay that are in all sony games since the past 10 years, dated facial animations during dialogues and way way way too much invisible walls. I know its a linear game and not an open world but dawm even in a small level you see grass and a puddle of water you cannot even go in the puddle and there is a invisible wall you cannot even walk on the grass lol. The story was good, but the gameplay was repetitive and the journey was less enjoyable than the 2018 one and way less enjoyable than the one back then. Seems nowday you only have to nail the story(Witch is hard to do i know it) If the story is good wioth average gameplay you have a masterpeice and if you have average story with great gameplay you have a flop.

Honestly I thought that shit was hilarious and fitting. TLDR: Odins been reincarnated as Sindri's blacksmithing hammer Think about this: Odin has tormented and hurt everyone in the group in some way, shape or form. But NONE of them lost a loved one SPECIFICALLY to Odins hands except Sindri. (Thrud and Sif are honorable mentions but they werent apart of the group when Odin did what he did to Brok.) Odin personally drove a knife throught Sindri's brothers heart. You cant get anymore personal than that, Sindri was the worst affected and in a far worst way than ANYONE else. So in my opinion he had every right to make the call on whether Odin lived on in spirit or faded away into oblivion. I think he made the right call and now I'm curious, because if a soul can envelop and fuze to objects (Fenrir to Atreus's knife) whose to say the hammer Sindri used to crush Odins marble didnt get imbued with Odins soul?? Sindri knows nothing about giant magic and Atreus didnt mention to him that it was indeed possible for souls to enhabit objects, I got a feeling that my hunch aint to far off.

The Ragnarok wasn't the end of thing. But rather, a new beginning. When the whole realm gone silent, a new birth came to take it's place amongs them. Two human survivors who hide underneath the world Tree would rebuild Midgard from the Chaos. Baldur who was dead would came back to life. Alongside him is Modi and Magni, the last Aesir. The Two Human would gave birth to the new life, and the cycle of Norse would continue.

I feared that this might be the last we see of Kratos, however this ending is so beautiful. Simply because, now Kratos is completely free, from the shackles of his past, the safety of his son, the prophecies of his death etc. Since he has only known violence and hatred and was seldom loved, he sees a future that he is worshipped, the very love Odin mocked Kratos of not having. Now he gets to become a better god, that aids and protects everyone, not because his goals align with theirs, but truly of the kindness of his own heart. Kratos now has a dream, a dream that I hope we get to see Kratos fulfill. He looks up to Tyr as he is a peaceful God of War and probably try to become a protector of peace rather than a bringer of war. As of right now, I believe we might see the Celtic and Western European fairy tales since they've been hinted so much with Mimir, he tells lots of stories of him being part of a forest, mentions the Kelpie that sends them to the Norns, who then identify him as Puck, one of King Oberon's servants, the King of the Fairies. Also, while going to the Norns, Sigrun states that Mimir has failed Titania, Oberon's wife, who apparently used her like Odin did with Freya. Honestly can't wait to see Kratos's story as it seems that his saga as better god has just begun.

37:12 Kratos saw himself as a destroyer at worst and a broken man at best. His reaction to seeing the last mural is beautiful and its the ending he deserves but never expected. Kratos, saviour of the realms, defender of the innocent, the god of peace.

It’s crazy my friends introduce me to this game years ago and I played the heck out of each one of them and to be a full grown adult and playing and beating this today, I am happy I was able to journey on this franchise with kratos, the True God of War.

The guy was in shambles by this point... His wife and father constantly pressuring him while his conscious tell him that he may not be on the right side when he ends up developing some respect for his daughter's friend (Atreus). He was drinking himself to the death even before the final act too. It's really sad how things turned out for him. The fight at the start was undoubtedly more challenging for Kratos and he wasn't going all out either.

I had some problems with this game surrounding it’s pacing, traversal, and a couple of plot holes/unresolved plot point but by god the ending completely makes up for it. The ending reminds me of the satisfaction you feel at the end of return of the king. Might be one of the greatest endings to a game I’ve ever seen. 39:52 chills

@@BankaiFever He’s not wrong. Some parts of the story could’ve been developed more, especially at the ending. For instance, we don’t see Freyr negotiating with the elves at all and he just happens to get them to unite. That could’ve been an expanded plot line. How the armies of Helheim were gathered could’ve been given some more focus, too. So there are definitely a few flaws, but none so terrible that the game’s ruined.

Its good to see Kratos finally find the peace he deserves. His legacy of war and chaos ending and his teachings passing on to his son. My man earned his peace! Great fucking writing!

The best moment for me in the Ragnarok war is when Sindri came into battle. He failed to brought the dwarves, but he doesn't need them. He literally a one man army. That's how dangerous a broken man is.

@@TheBatman39 depends on who judge them. In the world of God of War, Kratos had enough for spending his entire life for revenge and his sacrifice in GoW 3 proved that even with his rage, he capable to feel remorse for his action. He sacrificed almost all of his godly strength provided by Zeus death which allowed him to revitalized the Greek pantheon which he destroyed. His meeting with Laufey allowed him to restart anew with his life provided that he got a new family to protect. In the eyes of Odin, Kratos just an outsider that had lived there and he deemed his past as a permanent scar that cannot be healed no matter what. But in the eyes of Laufey, Kratos capable to redeemed himself. In the world of Last of Us, Joel already lost his own daughter once and since he sees Ellie as his daughter and she got an immunities against the virus in which the development of cure would killed her, Joel didn't want to lose her, decided to rescue her but doesn't care the consequences he brought to the others. In the eyes of the survivors, Joel is a selfish person that care nothing to the others but himself. But in the eyes of Ellie, Joel did the wrong thing but grateful nonetheless since she didn't want to die. It depends on the perspective but I don't want to impose who is good and who is bad since both do bad things and both do good things, it's just the world they in judge them based on their own action. Sorry a bit too long.
