Thank you very much, your videos are really helpful. I was wondering if is it possible to consider a gas flow and its corrosion effects in this system, and if so could you please recommend me some documents/papers that give any help?

Very Good Video... I'm designing a WindTunnel and I'd like to know if are there anyway to simulate a screen in inlet ? I'd like to comparete the results with a turbulent test section.

Sir, I am trying to model solidification during turbulent flow for that I need to add an additional sink term in the k-epsilon turbulent flow equations. The volume force term which I am adding is for the momentum equation. could you please suggest to me how to add an additional sink term in turbulent equations? By the way, I am your junior at IITG.

Hi, nice video. I have a question, it's impossible to find out how a periodic flow condition works for a 3D geometry. First, I tried for a 2D geometry with this condition U_0=2U_m s(1-s)(sin(ωt)+√(sin〖(ωt)^2 〗 )) and s goes from 0 to 1 along the inlet edge. In case of 3D condition, on a pipe, the inlet is a circle and that equation doesn't work.. Please let me know if you have any ideas because a have to finish my project in a few days and i couldn't find any solution yet. Thanks, Ana

Can you do simulation for two-phase flow (oil-water) in vertical porous medium pipe?
@pioneerofsuccess40547 жыл бұрын
yes, it is possible. You need to incorporate gravitational force as a volume force. For porous medium, you need to incorporate Darcy's law.

sir, your videos are really helpful...can you please help me to compute a MIXTURE MODEL, LAMINAR FLOW (eg. water and water vapour )through a pipe?
@pioneerofsuccess40547 жыл бұрын
It would be nothing but a two-phase flow. You need to take water and a gas as materials and put properties of water vapor (viscosity. density). All other things would remain same.
@meghnasarmah62347 жыл бұрын
sir ....will it be same as this video except that instead of laminar flow we will take a mixture model for 2 phase?
@pioneerofsuccess40547 жыл бұрын
Do you want to model for turbulent flow? If so, you need to take turbulent two-phase flow. The model that would fit your problem that you need to find out from the available research papers. If you have other queries regarding modeling then you can email me.

I want to give fully developed velocity profile at inlet. Can you help me with that?
@pioneerofsuccess40547 жыл бұрын
The term fully developed is not applicable at the inlet. We consider it as a plug flow when it just enters the pipe. After entering it undergoes wall friction and thus makes boundary layer. Stay tuned to our channel for more updates.

Thank you for your reply. But I basically want to assign a velocity profile data in .csv or .txt extension at the inlet of a model of 2D open channel flow. is it possible to do in COMSOL?
@pioneerofsuccess40547 жыл бұрын
There is a simple way out. If you have the data file then you can easily generate an analytical function corresponding to that data in excel. Once you have this you can put it as a boundary condition.
@susovanpal99377 жыл бұрын
ok. I'll try that. thank you very much for your help.
@susovanpal99377 жыл бұрын
As you suggested I have created the analytical function (-2*(1^(-5))*y^2 + 0.004*y + 0.272) and put it as inlet boundary condition. but now I am getting error like this. "Failed to find consistent initial values. Last time step is not converged. - Feature: Time-Dependent Solver 1 (sol1/t1)" Can you suggest what may be the cause of this error.
