I really struggle with foundation as I age. At the last count I have 17 most of which are high end. I have no idea why but the one I gravitate to most of late is Boots Hydraluminous foundation in Deeply beige. I really like it and I have you to thank for this 👏❤️

I just bought this foundation (in 150 lace) because it's said to be both hydrating and (up to) full coverage, and not matte. I have a lot of discoloration but also dry/combination skin, so matte formulas tend to dry me up too much, and clearly I'm too pale for most brands, so finding a good foundation is not easy for me lol. Most foundations are either too matte, too sheer or too dark for me. But this one checks all the boxes of what I'm looking for in a foundation! I haven't tried it yet as I literally bought it yesterday, but I thought I'd watch some reviews to see what to expect from it. And from what you say here, it seems like it could work well for me. Although it may have some trouble with my very dry areas (cheeks and around my nostrils) then. I'll think about adding some extra moisturizer and primer in those particular areas. I do have a hydrating primer already that I typically use for those areas. As for oily areas that's just my nose so I guess I'll just pack on some more powder there.

Thank you for mentioning your summer shade, Your summer shades work for me beautifully, I am darker skinned than you but I believe we share the same undertone and eye colour 👌🏻🌹 I got the 160 shell and it’s spot on. I love that their shades don’t have strong undertones in the neutral shades.

I watched another YT video on this in which the person applied with her finger and the foundation was much too glowy, shiny. Your application with the brush looked perfect. Big difference. I can’t be,I’ve it’s the same foundation. I do have flaky dry patches so thanks for the tip.

I love Shiseido products. When we lived in Johannesburg we visited UK where I would buy compact foundation then when my parents were no more we would go to the East and bought my products from Australia Singapore Hong Kong etc. However this corona has stopped me from taking the time to look after myself. I'm still on the original syncro skin foundation in shell ( a bit light) i mix it with Drunk Elephant de-bronzie and i love it, i wear a mask for alot of the day and it fairs really well abd gives natural coverage and a healthy glow. Gemma can you try the powder foundation in this?

I'm not Gemma,but I'm a real, normal person! The I'm Makiage is great. Their customer service is fantastic (initially got myvshade,wrong and they helped me get the correct one and let me keep the wrong one) Foundation is lovely. Only negative is that it oxidises. It's in my rotation though and probably in my top three.

Thanks for the video, I always learn something new, even if I am not particularly interested in a product or content :-) I used Shiseido (and other Japanese brands) skin care many years ago. I remember being impressed by their authenticity, what they claimed the product would do correct. At the time I had no idea about the ingredients and I got a bit scared of how fast and how good my skin got by using their products :-) I will never forget snail made mask that I used for many many years. At the time those were not easy to get in Europe so I brought back masks to use for a year or two :-) So I am not surprised that this foundation works. Maybe I'll try it one day :-)

El 140 es subtono frío y el 120 es cálido .. Pero lo único que las bases japonesa vienen en subtono rosado..yo soy en mac nc20 y me compre esta base en 250 Que supuestamente es subtono amarillo,pero no es rosado ..😌 tuve que ponerle una gota del mezclador de Nix amarillo y otra gota de otra base más clara .. Y me quedó perfecto.. chicas esta base es espectacular de bonita deja la piel súper lisa no marca poros mi línea de expresión aguantan los calores en fotografía se ve súper bella.. Lo único malo es eso los subtonos rosas pero con el mezclador de Nix asunto arreglado .. Estoy segura que voy a repetir cuando se me termine porque me encanta que no lleva nada de ingredientes malos perjudiciales para la piel pero la próxima cogeré el tono 160 y solo le cambio el subtono … Pero si la verdad que quedé enamorada de esta base

@Goldie Markowitz, I hope you don’t mind me chiming in. I have been dabbling in By Terry. Foundation Cover -Expert spf15, I didn’t mind the texture and the smell was yummy for me. I believe all of her products have a bit of a Rose scent but not over bearing, hyaluronic hydra powder (has 12m) on it and it’s been amazing, cool as crap. They also suckered me for lip pencil, liner and a liquid blush and LOVE EVERY BIT OF IT. NO complaints. Seems like I also heard she left Yves St Laurent and started her own company? I am sure I butchered spelling and might be wrong. Let me know what you’ve tried.

I was just asking the same I use 340 Pine neutral undertone in self refreshing but looking at Bamboo I think the golden tone would be a better match provided the refresher is same as radiant lifting. Thinking too much about this. 😂

If she doesn’t reply it’s the Zoeva #104 flat top kabuki brush. I know bc I have that brush. An Zoeva has thee best brushes on the market. So underrated, and not talked about enough. I think I paid like $20 at Ulta for it.

Las dos bases dejan la piel espectacular lo que pasa que la de Dior tiene más ingredientes que no son tan buenos para la piel y esta Lleva ingredientes naturales esta es una súper buena base pero si quieres un día ir con la piel demasiado pulida como piel de muñeca la de Dior es excelente

La prarie Lleva ingredientes perjudiciales para la piel y es una base demasiado cara yo prefiero esta base porque para pieles maduras dejan la piel de porcelana no marca líneas ni poros y deja la piel muy bonita y no lleva nada de ingredientes malo para la piel

I loved the earrings before you said anything! They are terrific. Thanks for trying this foundation. i thought it looked good. I have been using the Mizun (K beauty) BB cream lately, which I'm kind of in love with. Great coverage, apply with fingers, no concealer, no powder. Reminds me of Clarins skin illusion, but not heavy around the mouth and fabulous price point. There are only 4 shades, but if you can find one, it's terrific. My skin is very sensitive, so when I find something that works, I share the love :-).
