Priyanka Chaturvedi On BJP: During the Rajya Sabha session on February 7th, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi raised pertinent questions regarding President Droupadi Murmu's absence from the inaugural event of the new Parliament building. Chaturvedi highlighted the discrepancy, noting that while intruders managed to gain access to the premises, the President did not have the opportunity to attend. Previously, Prime Minister Modi and other dignitaries addressed a joint gathering of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members at the Central Hall event, where the President was notably absent. This absence had drawn criticism from opposition parties, who had objected to the President's exclusion from the inauguration ceremony held in May.

Excellent speech by Priyanka Chaturvedi. She pointed out most relevant issues which were promised by Modi in his 2014 manafesto and has not fulfilled it . He has downgraded the office of the President by keeping her away from parliament opening and subsequent events . His emphasis is away from massive unemployment and farmer distress. Mr Speaker with all respect. Please show some respect to the Opposition speaker and take it up with a PM who comes to make speeches but not listen to what the Opposition has to say. BJP has a got 35 % of the votes but balance 65 % of the people voice needs to be heard.
