ANDROID GUY, Did you notice how much Dangal grossed outside of India, compared to what it grossed in India? There is a huge untapped market out there. Together these "foreigners" account for millions of views outside of India for the trailers. If they manage to send even 1% of their viewers and subscribers to theaters to watch the movies, that is hundreds of tickets sold where they would not have sold without them. That translates to larger grosses which mean more money in the pockets of Indian film makers to purchase even better equipment for better content in films and better pay for all involved. In the long term it means more money flowing into the Indian economy which helps everyone in India. Look up the term "Soft Power" as it relates to countries. China has just found itself behind India in the "Soft Power" race due to the popularity of Indian films. But none of that matters to you, does it? Not when all you want to do is to whine and point fingers as if you are better than anyone else here. Good luck with that.

That ramp didn't came out of nowhere. When you visit cities on the mountain sides, the roads are often sloped or inclined, whatever you want to call it. Older cars didn't used to have handbrakes so people still use rocks or ramps like those to prevent the car from rolling down the slope when they are not being used.

thanks for using the head gear...I don't know how other guys react without it. It makes a lot of difference without the headgear especially for the sound effect...and when you are speaking in the middle of the trailer or reacting the headset keeps you in track.

Ajay Devgan the lead actor & producer of this movie is a martial arts expert himself. His father was a stunts director. Ajay does most of his actions himself. Also, Shivay, means its on Lord Shiva. Shiva is 1 of trilogy of Hindu Gods. 1) Brahma: Creator of world. 2) Vishnu/Narayana: Like King or father of world. he takes avatar (incarnation) often to remove evil from world. 3) Shiva: God of destruction (for evil & for this world when he so desires). His name means welfare, and he resides on Mount Kailash in Himalayas. When he does Tandav dance or opens his third eye, destruction of world takes place. He also has the power to give and take life/ (Vishnu too can give life). In this movie, lead character is maybe a devotee of Lord Shiva.

I think the comparisons have to do with the muted blue/grey tones in the action sequences mixed with the 1/4 time shakycam speedups. A lot of people, and myself included stateside, first started seeing this around the time of the first Bourne movie so I think it gets references a lot.

So for the head wedge shot.., my take would be they showed that guy is unmovable from neck below (didn't flinch just like Shiva) in a previous shot however in icy skurtish roads with winter tires on you can't seem to jump up the car by a few fee.., probably shot with side angle to capture momentum however looked aptly slow moving truck

I think the movie draws parallels to Shiva's diverse and contradictory appearances.Shiva encompasses a unique paradox of many dualities. His iconography and mythology reveal his inherent multivalency.In his image as the ash-covered, self-absorbed yogi, Shiva is the epitome of asceticism. As the bejeweled, beloved consort of Parvati, the Goddess of the Mountains, he is the ultimate lover and father. He is both introverted aloneness and extraverted relationship.The scene in the trailer where the actor is smoking, represents how shiva is transcendent and yet he is immanent cos shiva is often depicted consuming bhang (Cannabis) to be reach a blissful state of meditation. Shiva has both, compassionate and fearsome depictions. Shiva engenders structure and also dismantles it. He destroys and recreates, yet is motionless. I think movie is trying to draw parallels to this aspect of mythology- like how Shivaay is an innocent everyman and yet is capable of TRANSFORMING into a mean DESTROYER when he needs to PROTECT his family.
