Todos hipócritas. Nesse drama só fiquei com pena da menina que foi obrigada a casar com o marido da irmã nova, para criar o filho deles. Lembrando. Na China imperial essas meninas tinham, 12, 13, 14 ou 15 anos. Então quando assistimos é apreciamos algo tão nojento, estamos apoiando a pedofilia que era normal na China. Esse Marquês é o mais nojento de todos. Ele não precisava ter tantas concubinas. É poderia ter negado o pedido da esposa moribunda. Mas ele estava doido para fazer sexo, com a menina. Tendo várias mulheres. Percebemos o caráter de um homem pelo número de mulheres que ele tinha. Esse personagem é muito nojento. Não consegui assistir o drama. Gosto da atriz principal. Mas não desceu. Tinha vontade de vomitar, toda vez que ele aparece em uma cena, com essa cara de coitadinho o tempo inteiro, só para levar a menina pra cama. E ele consegue. Se passa por bonzinho, mas deixa ela ser humilhada pela mãe e as amantes. Na família imperial , era normal o imperador ter até 3 esposas e 5 concubinas. Mas isso variava. Uns tinham centenas de amantes. Geralmente as esposas eram de arranjos com reinos inimigos, para manter a paz. Concubinas eram nobres, ou filhas de ministros e generais estratégico s no governo. Lembrando q ser concubina era uma ofensa para a moça e um honra para os pais. Mas os imperadores pegavam qualquer uma, que ele queria no palácio. Pobres servas, pois elas poderiam até ser concubina. Mas lateral. Sem direito a nada, só humilhação. Mas no caso desse marquês, ele poderia ter só uma esposa. Não precisava de tantos filhos como o imperador, onde os mesmos eram usados nas braganhas feitas pelo pai. Com casamentos arranjados. Então me nego ver esse drama nojento. Vejo comentários de pessoas achando lindo. Não era lindo. Era ultrajante e humilhante 😢

Concubine Qiao never realised what becoming a concubine meant. It meant she is not the main wife, she cannot entertain any thoughts about society anymore such as going to gatherings etc. A concubine even with great favour knows her place, but she never learnt that. I only realised her contempt wasn’t towards Her Ladyship at first, it was envy for not being held up as main wife or in the manner of the main wife of that makes sense. Her face in this scene when she realised that she is a concubine. It was too funny.

Absolutely agree. But I think she did realize but didn't want to accept her role. If she was main wife she would have definitely reinforced those strong main wife/concubine roles and do so with force.

@@mysticalchile 100% she would make a strong main wife figure. If I remember right, she does realise her mistakes over time, think she chose to be a nun or something like it

@@personn4902 She would simply be 'strong' because of her privileged background, she has her family to rely on and that's also the reason for the mother-in-law favoring her. Not because of actual wisdom or strength of character.

@@anthyavila9726 I agree that she doesn’t have those qualities of wisdom. She is the relation of the Grand Madam and I could be wrong but it was the intention of Grand Madam to marry her to the Marquis. If she also had the right guidance instead of pampering, she would of have those traits.

...it would be very awkward and disgracing to the whole household if a concubine will accompany the matriarch instead of the wife.... Lianfang is too full of herself to think she would be chosen just because that old biased woman favoured her......these two characters are the reasons why I'm not watching the whole story....

@@arilu89x i watched what happened to Lianfang and it was too kind to just let her be a nun...after all those things she had done...and that grandma only acknowledge Shiyi when Shiyi put her life in danger...i hate it...but at least Shiyi got a happy ending

As an English woman who has also a rich history of royals and courtiers I get these women on every level. One wrong word could be the downfall of your entire family. Looking at it from the outside you view the riches the pretty clothes but each and every thing inside comes with a price tag and you may not have to pay it now but believe me you will in time be made to pay. Nothing done is without scheming jealousy and sheer hatred involved. A beautiful woman is only enjoyed by the elite men. The women will do anything to be number one. When the reality is it is better to go unnoticed.
