One thing I never understood. This guy sends the e-mail FROM the Asylum? You'd think he'd wait until he got home or run for the hills and send it from there.
@amandaprince55747 жыл бұрын
BigRig Joe I think Waylon lived in/around the asylum because they need the place to be running for the experiments/keeping the patients trapped. I doubt they'll just let the employees go home because they'll just tell the world what they're doing. So I guess that was the safest place for Waylon to send the email. That's just a theory of mine.

@amandaprince55747 жыл бұрын
BigRig Joe Living conditions were never mentioned (as far as I know, maybe I need to paid attention) but I imagined it to have a similar layout as Alcatraz (completely different, I know) like they have buildings in the area where guards, doctors, and scientists stay and the buildings probably weren't mentioned because neither Miles nor Waylon went through there. Or maybe everyone lived in the asylum.
@okamiinuzuka62707 жыл бұрын
i thought part of it was he was hoping to avoid linking family up to it, but i could be wrong. if they do what they do to experiments imagine what they'd do to a rat and its family

I know it's kinda late but actually Waylon and Miles happened to be in the asylum together on this night but in different areas since the asylum was huge. On one hand, Miles was running away from wallrider and Waylon from Eddie Gluskin that is why when it was morning, Waylon saw wallrider who was none other than Miles as he helped Waylon escape so that he could produce evidence to the police and tell them about the asylum.

I think the Walrider was controlling Miles, but recognized Mr. Blair as one of its abusers, and not Park. I could be wrong, but I thought the Walrider was more or less an imprint of Billy’s consciousness. At least in my head canon, Billy (the Walrider) saw Blair and went wild on him, letting Park leave with his life. The Walrider then went back in Miles’ body and escaped. Either way Blair got what he deserved… Miles and Waylon didn’t deserve anything that happened to them.

It does, what's happening within Mount Massive walls also occur near to it as there is a huge antenna near the village of Outlast 2 twisting everyone's mind. I remember the village was an experiment in the 'open air' compared to the asylum.
@HisGrace3657 жыл бұрын
I wonder if the contents of the note at 20:02 tie in any way with Lynn's pregnancy in Outlast 2.
@okamiinuzuka62707 жыл бұрын
Probably i know for a fact that there is supposed to be some sort of link between the 3 games. there is actually a note in the outlast 2 that links murkoff to outlast 2. sadly theres only like 2 notes that do this so its REALLY easy to miss and one of those things you have to go scouting for. you can find them on videos that go over collectibles.
@wordygamer88657 жыл бұрын
Yea. Supposedly, in outlast two the engine was supposed to be able to hypnotize women into believing that they were pregnant. When Lynn gave birth at the end of outlast 2 it was not real, hence why she said, "there's nothing there". She was actually bleedimg out and that is why she died. If you look carefully at the shadow of Ethan holding the "baby" when he shows it to Lynn, its a pretty good head trip lol. All of the light explosions that we witness throughout outlast 2 was Murkoff using the community in that mountain range as lab rats in their experiment. At the scene before where you ride the raft across the lake there is a power station/comm tower, presumably where they were watching the population from. The explosion at the end of outlast 2 is the Murkoff corp covering their liabilities and erasing evidence. Just looking at everything as a whole, I would say that outlast 2 is a prequel to outlast one and its dlc.

In the epilogue, if I was in there with Waylon Park, I would be a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and ensure him that he and his family will be protected by the United States Federal Witness Protection Program, where people who testify against major crime families or vicious criminals are relocated and given new identities for protection, and the Whistleblower Protection Program. I would also ensure him that Waylon Park and his family will be hidden in an undisclosed location somewhere in the United States under the protection programs as I mentioned earlier, the United States Marshals Service and the FBI; a place where the Murkoff Corporation and their assassins will never find them.

That was the magic of Outlast 2 for me, because it didn't latch on to the original game's success, it innovated on it and created an entirely different mythology.
