Kuey teow is my favourite too!! Kopi 'O' means coffee with sugar but no milk Kopi 'O' KOSONG is coffee, no sugar, no milk. You can say 'kurang manis' if you want less sweet. Please try carrot milk next time, it's good 😋😋😋

I'm from the UK, and when I visited Malaysia, I had the pleasure of trying the food at Alam Berkat restaurant. It was absolutely delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Every penny we spent was well worth it for the extraordinary dining experience. The ambiance of eating outdoors, with the gentle breeze caressing my face under the night sky, was absolutely delightful. This enchanting atmosphere made my time at Alam Berkat all the more enjoyable, and I can't wait to return whenever I find myself back in Malaysia. Thank you, Alam Berkat, for the amazing memories! 😍

From my understanding, in "Kopi O" or "Teh O", the "O" means no milk. I don't exactly know the origin, but I think people probably called it "O" because it resembles the number zero. So, in a sense, Kopi O could mean coffee with zero milk.

"O" originates from the Chinese HAINANESE dialect, meaning no milk, totally "black". The Hainanese in Malaysia & Singapore were the ones during British colonial years to operate the "KOPITIAM" (coffeeshops in English) & became famous for their coffee, toasted bread & "kaya" (Malaysia's coconut jam). Many of these Kopitiams' operators were chefs in British army. Therefore, some of these present day Hainanese Kopitiams serve EXCELLLENT Western-style pork chops dishes, recipe from their forefathers.

if you ask "kopi o" or "teh o" is mean that a teh with sugar (white sugar), if you say kurang manis is mean less sugar or less sweet. if you ask "kopi o kosong" or "teh o kosong" is mean teh or kopi without sugar.. Hehehe 😀
