First time I heard Sho, I thought she was Kenyan. She sang with so much love it sounded like she was from Nairobi, - for this my South African friends, forgive me. Oh my words, this Tsonga tune hits differently.. It reminds me of my late grandmother... She brew traditional beer, sold it whilst playing Dr Thomas Chauke songs... Playing Dr Thomas Chauke songs always brings fond memories of my childhood when visiting grandma. Every school holiday I would look forward to visiting grandma.. She was full of energy, talkative and very sociable...Community even gave her a nickname...she was the direct opposite of what my mom was.. My mom, being her daughter, hated noise, hated talking too much and enjoyed relaxing.
