When I was a child there were very heavy and violent reprocussions for admitting any of the @buse that went on behind closed doors. I was very embarrassed by the way I was treated and even if anyone asked me - like a teacher or a stranger if I was okay at home I would not admit that anything was wrong. Now I know that all of that was just another form of @buse. Now I have healed enough to realize that the guilt and shame lies entirely on her shoulders and I refuse to own any of it. Through knowing that ,truth I have found much healing and freedom. I hope that anyone else going through something similar can do the shadow work required enough to realize that the guilt and shame of your @busers is not your burden to bear. Talk about it, work through the left over pain and dump all the left over garbage- the guilt and shame- back on your abusers instead of carrying it around in your heart and mind for a lifetime. I didnt deserve it and no child does. We deserve to be free and to live normal lives and to be resonably happy with the ability to grow and heal. Break those chains of @buse and free yourself.
