Thanks For the video. This the only vid I have ever found that actually described the benifits of each setting.

Are the center of your wheels painted? the big black circle area?

Jesus Christ Ty, you’ve grown up a lot since the last time I saw you. I have to say I think you look cooler without the facial hair

I really don’t understand the purpose of rebound. Why not just use a stiffer spring?

Nice video. I learn something ever time. I am new to 1/8 scale and set the shocks for zero rebound. The car does not seem to spring back to level arms when pushed down. Does this mean the spring isn’t stiff enough for the weight of the buggy? I heard that if you go with a stiffer spring you should go with thicker oil as well? How do you know how to balance the oil vs the spring stiffness?

You have to drop and roll it when you set ride height as there is natural friction due to wheel scrub, I have a video on setting ride height you can watch. It is not necessarily true that with a stiffer spring you want thicker oil, it depends on how much reaction you want out of your car.

Have you tested . 0 rebound on rear and rebound with hard bladders up front.

No I have not tested this.

i usually don´t wana correct pro drivers. but i think your explaination is not clear. rebound and bladder are not directly connected. i can run a bunch of rebound with a very soft bladder, but i can also run a nearly dead honeycomb shock. i understand what you are saying. because a lot of rebound does not work very well with a super soft bladder. and honeycomb is usuallly not the best to run dead compared to a soft bladder. but rebound is still not directly dependend on the type of bladder you use. you can even run 0 or a lot of rebound in emulsion. rebound is more about the oil level and amount of oil in the shock than the bladder.
