Fair play to Arsenal they were really good against us. Still a valid point, 3.5 xg is all well and good, however the 3 goals Arsenal scored were all as a consequence of liverpools poor decision making at the back, whether it be positionally or through a lack of decisive choices. @@sethbrand9009 Arsenal have scored 5 less goals than us in the league this season and we (Liverpool) have the most goals in the league and are constantly praised for our attacking depth. They had a couple of games where having a clinical striker might've changed things, sure, but this narrative that they're not scoring enough is bonkers. I said before the season started I thought City would win the league, I said when we went top of the league that I think City will win the league, I am still saying it after we lost to Arsenal. But all that said I think Arsenal are more serious challengers this season than they were last season, they only put up title winning numbers for half a season last year, whereas this year they look much more organised and harder to beat, we've failed to beat them twice this season in the league and City lost when they went to the Emirates too. This for me was always going to be a year too soon for us and people that started saying it's a title race between us and City and Arsenal aren't involved in my opinion were either being heavily biased or just showing their lack of knowledge. We are in it, absolutely, but so are Arsenal.

I’m one of those Arsenal fans that says ‘we’ve won nothing yet, let’s not get ahead of ourselves’. We’re in the race which is all that matters right now. we still have to go to City (who I don’t think are as invincible as they were last season so I’m more hopeful) and that’s a must-not-lose right now, might be a must win when it comes around. Liverpool and City still have to play each other and lots of other games - long way to go but it’s a three-horse race.

Van Dijk isn’t the best cb in the world. He’s not as good as when he first got to Liverpool and his error yesterday on the 2nd goal was the sign of a player who hasn’t got that much confidence in his ability in the air. He didn’t attempt to head that ball because he wasn’t confident he would meet it which you can’t have with a Cb. Liverpool also relied on a defensive mix up for their goal. Arsenal had Jesus missing from out of nowhere. Partey was being prepped for this game and out of nowhere wasn’t available. Kiwior played the entire 2nd half at lb so both sides not just Liverpool had personnel issues. Liverpool were just found out as not being as strong as we all thought they might be where I think a few people were thinking they could run away with it. Clearly now that won’t happen

Last season Arsenal lost Saliba and their title charge fell apart. Arsenal are still seen as lacking character, mental strength, being ‘bottlers’ - do you think anyone is trying to hear stories about players being injured? Injuries are part of football and and factor in squad building - they are what presented Bradley with his opportunity (and now apparently Liverpool are losing cos he’s not around lol)
