These podcasts are full of fantastic information. I’m currently working over my 2016 power wagon with 130k miles with 5160s (wanted to see if the extra oil would help on our awful roads) Thuren track bars and front springs. When I talked to the Thuren guys and found out how much “work capability” I would lose with softer rear springs it drove home the point you guys made, you can’t have TRUE “dual purpose vehicles”. I’d love to see an episode more centered around HD trucks and the jewelry…and weight as well as talk truthfully about how diesels are so heavy their off road usefulness becomes limited.

I'd like to improve the daily driving experience and add offroad capability to my '23 ORP 4Runner with KDSS. I already have oem size Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I was thinking of getting 6112/5160s, raising the front a bit, but still have some rake, and leave everything else stock. Is this the route you would recommend?

If you are getting into situations where you need a winch, you shouldn't have a 4runner and should have got a jeep???? What???? Any vehicle can get stuck in snow or mud.

So you shame the people spending money on LT stuff and better axles while also shaming the other people for spending money on overlanding and look cool stuff. There's a term used in the gun industry for people who think if they don't own it, It serves no purpose to anyone and nobody should have it. It's called a being a fudd.. i like listening to what old professionals have to say about matters because often you end up with little gold nuggets of knowledge. If someone just took all of the information you guys are giving in this video I don't think anybody would own a 4x4. Your ride is gonna suck, bigger tires don't make a difference, your gear is worthless. Okay, guess I'll just buy a prius and make sure my taxes get paid on time. Should change the name of this show to 3 old fudds talking you out of going off road.
