I have a Talon R that I bought in September. Three weeks ago, I was ready to get rid of it in favor of another Polaris (Ive had four). I decided to "roll the dice" with a shock and spring package from shock therapy, hoping I was not throwing good money after bad. I picked it up a week ago from Shock Therapy but I was headed back to my home in Northern Nevada. I didn;t have a chance to give a test until yesterday... I am once again happy with the ride. We do a lot of trail/dirt roads on ghost town trips and the slower speed stuff on the R was flat awful. My initial ride yesterday was positive. I'm going to keep it. Good Job Shock Therapy.

The gen 2 YXZ1000R SS SE is probably the best out of the box unit you can buy. For instance, it's the only car built with the radiator in back where it belongs, and the dual spring shock package is GTG for most trail use. Don't want your rubber band breaking contantly? Your looking aat Honda or Yamaha right now, and Yamaha is set to announce a new car this summer. If you were making a living selling UTV parts & service, it may be hard to recommend the car that needs the least work... ;) Thanks for having the spine to offer an opinion...most won't even do that, for fear of alienating the fanboys...If you want to spend $25K+ on a new car, plus another $10K in parts to keep it from falling apart, you need a Canam....My '20 YXZ is on day 3 at Texplex, and has seen hard use in the desert and dunes. Pipe, tune, winch, harnesses, and a extra set of wheels/tires. All she does is rip and beg for more :)
