This was probably one of the best exercises in responsibility I've seen in a long time that can be done when dealing with such a serious topic as the one at hand. With humor, easter eggs (love @calvinawesome + @ScrybeGaming!) and with a straightforward message about how a hobby of this nature, which in the long run can potentially mean spending out of control a large amount of money, should be dealt with. As a 11.7mil f2p, I do what many other f2p'ers do and go in surges. Go all in for a GL, then stagnate and refill the crystal bank while you wait to see what the next big thing is. Currently debating if I should dump a lot of it into Baylan requirements or wait to until all GL Ashoka requirements are revealed, and then dump it into anything needed there. But like you mention, unless you want to hit that +15mil mark like the uber top folks, everyone needs to decide when to stop gearing a farm and move on to the next one.

Solid work! And yup, back when I was f2p I did the same thing. Much harder to get everything ASAP, but once you've secured your crystal income it's about making the smart choices in where to spend it! Being careful, hoarding for the relevant stuff and being comfortable with not getting things immediately was the way things were :)

Thanks for the transparency. I pretty much mostly spend on the odd $10 Conquest pass but I did buy the LSB for the raid recently. However, in the dark days of my first couple years playing, I would spend impulsively when I was having a bad day in real life. 2 Biggest regrets (that I can remember): Spending $20 to buy a single piece of gear to take STHan to gear 11. This was when STHan lead was meta, lol. Spending almost two vaults to get Chirrut and Rogue One to 7*. (My Chirrut and Baze are still only G12 btw) I think it was to be able to do the Rogue one special mission for the Hoth TB???

Nice work brother :). I think I was at about 6.8m or so when I started spending two years ago. Game was a different space then, but I did very well - top of both squad & fleet arena, kyber 1, 5 GLs I think. F2p can definitely work, it just takes longer is all.

dang - why does yt deletes comments with links?! 😡Long story short: Mk 8 Nubian security scanners and Mk6 Athakam Medpacs are the real bottleneck to all R0, but they are missing in the HU list

Yeah they do miss a couple things. mk6 athakam medpacks for me are still below 2k in total (half of what I need for carbantis), but are much harder to get obviously. Mk8 Nubians are much more easily accessible and are needed far less for me (less than 1k left until I'm fully done.) I'm still a ways off being "completely done" with gear. But I'm sure it won't be massively long until I'm all tied up. Maybe a year or two.

The next question is, how much would it cost you to relic 9 everything!! I have no personality so making KZbin content isn’t “on the cards” for me, hence I rarely spend. But I always look at a new character as being £300 just to get to 7* plus gear. Its a pipe dream 😅 The cadence of new characters is giving me a real hard time at the moment. Thankfully conquest toons are not all trash, but as free-ish to play I feel like I’m falling behind a bit. Keep crossing those fingers for a lottery win!

The only thing you should buy in this game is the initial $50 hyperdrive starter bundle and all light speed bundles. I can't overstate how much value we get for those. But to buy regular relic cargo packages or crystal bundles is just throwing away money. Unless you are able to afford it OR you're a content creator like this handsome KZbinr is 😅
