Your supermarket tours are always informative and fun and you can really learn a lot about the area your are in. My biggest regret about my trip to Kenya and various African countries was not taking the time to check out a major African supermarket

I am surprised how expensive are the vegetables in the US and how cheap all the snacks are. My first thought seeing the prices for veggies was "that's not that expensive comparing to Europe" and than I realized the prices are per pound, not per kilogram, pound being almost half a kilo.

Fresh produce isn't really widely available in the US, ironically. We export most of our local produce and import the food items we do have. I lived in MO (one of the largest states for dairy and beef) and beef was still $6/lb, on the upper end in Poland (where I lived for a few months just recently) it's $8/kg. So, we're in kind of a weird spot and yes it's VERY expensive!

So on point!! We're definitely not short of snacks here in the US. There's a wide variety to choose from. Something for everyone!! There was only one type of goldfish crackers and one type of Oreo cookies but now we've got a million varieties of each!! 👌🤙🍔🥨🍟🍬🍭🍫🍪🍩🍿🧁🥮

Hi guys just a quick correction - Farinha de mandioca is one ingredient for Farofa. It's not same as Farofa, there is no spices and it's not toasted, just plain cassava flour. Can you buy it and create a video with homemade farofa? It will be very nice! :D

Oh, our mistake! And yes, we can do this! We've tried (to varying succezz) to make many different Brazilian foods at home: feijioada, curacao, pao de quiejo and more! Maybe we can try to make something with farofa soon

You guys really need to get out more and explore the GTA neighborhoods and grocery stores. Plenty of variety here with ethnic food and snacks. You’ll find more than one variety of plantain chips, Oreos and even the jarritos brand sodas available at regular stores. If you are planning to spend some time here, why not go to various street food festivals happening throughout Toronto, will make for some interesting videos.

I suggest you go to Trader Joe's. You will have a lot of fun! They have stuff from all over the world and the place has a different vibe!

Food prices have risen since the pandemic, and inflammation has helped with that. My husband and I used to go to the restaurant twice and eat one fast food meal per week. Nowadays, we eat once per week in a restaurant and fast food every 15 days. Also, we share and significantly ask for one meal.

I am a Miamian, married to a Romanian, so we love you two! You speak so well of her beloved Romania, and I love my city! Plantains are big as Cuban/Latin sides next to a good dish... Recommend the Cuban Vaca Frita! while here, it's my favorite Cuban dish, and I am not Cuban, but love the cousin!

We travel full time and haven't been back to the US in awhile and this made me miss so many of my favorite snacks! Those grilled cheese crackers are🤩 Also Publix is a bit pricier than other grocery stores, but they do have gooood stuff

Publix is midrange, yeah. Though I think bottom of the barrel stores would just show how much more processed food we eat even than is shown in Publix so I honestly prefer it that way haha.

Those prices for food do not represent the US, I live in Maryland and our prices are cheaper then in Miami. Food prices all depends on the store you shop, Publix is not a cheap supermarket. The price of milk for example in Lidl is just $2.60 a gallon, banana $0.59 in most stores. My brother in law lives in Canada and drives to Buffalo every week for food shopping because it's so much cheaper than in Canada. As far as ethnic foods yes, we have much more variety and ton of choices. In Maryland we have so much compilation, in 2 miles we have 5 different stores to choice from. BTW I enjoyed your vlogs, you are the best showing prices, which is very informative when planning trips. Safe travels ✈

I'd say they chose a midrange grocery store in an expensive city, so it is representative of Miami prices however perhaps not of the entirety of the US. I could find cheaper stores in Miami, also. It just wouldn't have the same level of fresh produce.

My Canadian friends were so happy to be at the grocery stores and get all the lil Debbie snacks.Miami has a lot more Latin/ Hispanic inspired food .

Fireworks are on a shelf like any other products? I lived my childhood in Finland in the 70's when there weren't so many safety regulations, but even then fireworks were behind a counter.

I live in Miami and if I'm not mistaken that looks like the publix on Collins on 68 th or 69 streets. Publix is one of our most expensive supermarkets, fresco, presidente, sedanos are way cheaper. Yes, publix quality is better but it's not really the whole city prices. Trader Joe's is cheaper, but Milams supermarket is probably even more expensive. Aldi is also way cheaper. The options in Miami are just too many. Groceries have gone up dramatically since the pandemic thought but I think it has been pretty much everywhere in the world

Holy cow what a prices. First i tought that those veggies aren´t very expensive, but then i realized that ofcourse thouse were pounds and one kg is 2,2 pounds. So once again Finland isn´t so expencive that i tought. Other thing is that how much there is ultra prosecced "food" that isn´t healthy to eat. Nutrient value of most of those things are closer to zero.

Bananas in Nova Scotia Canada is 89 cents a pound 55 cents in Ontario always cheaper than NS . We have Chester’s chips here pronounced like mans name Chester we also have lime tortilla chips Walmart sells them

If my memory is correct, the tomato in my near by grocery store is usually 0.99 CAD per pound, this is a discounted price but that discount usually appears twice a month. I don't buy tomato a lot as I feel like these tomatoes are lack of tomato taste and not juicy enough, I rather buy canned tomato dices.

I guess you guys don't shop at international grocery stores. We have Pão de queijo in Toronto as well, even Walmart carries it. South American snacks and cookies too. Even in some Asian supermarkets. You just have to know where to look for them.

Most of the time people just jump into there cars and get what they need that week or day. They live in small house, will less storage space too. But look at all the gasoline, wear and tear on the car, plus a chance of a accident too. running to and from the store all the time Price of food is high enough >> with OUT more coast added to it

In the US and Canada, prices are so much higher than average European prices, and the quality of food is so much lower... That sliced bread they sell - how can people even eat it? It's super chemical and disgusting... The sizes are made for elephants, not for regular people... I really can't understand it and how you can survive there with such prices and quality because that chemical food, monosodium glutamate everywhere, will cause health damage, and then welcome to the hospitals where everything costs thousands... NO surprise so many Americans are moving to Portugal, to Europe

Miami shouldn’t be more pricey than nyc…but the Publix prices are too pricey. NYC has Wegmans, Lidls, Costco, Trader Joe’s and all the ethnic supermarkets. All less pricey than the supermarket in your video.

That is terrible. Beer and chips next to each other? Also tomatoes look big as hell lol. Local farmers have pumped something big there. Donut from grocery store? No... Big no. Maybe as a dessert. I respect the chances of getting healthy food like normal salad, potatoes and stuff. Imagine Texas :D Now after this video.
