The JPY went from 100 to the USD last year and now its 150. For people with USDs, its gotten 33% less expensive

We decided on Osaka and the Kansai region. Many things and cities to see and explore.

What about 7/11? 😅 We are 78 and 69 so insurance is a no go. We think Japan is #1 and can’t wait to return.

To be honest, we didn't go in that much. We usually just went to grocery stores and occasionally family Mart. We did browse a few times, but we found the prices to be much better in the supermarkets. Thank you for watching.

7/11 has egg sandwiches to die for and their pancakes ( butter and syrup already in between) are addictive:) just promise to try next time. 😊

Thanks for sharing your experiences! Please tell us the name of the gym and how you were able to sign up for a membership without a local phone number (unless you had somehow gotten one)? Most places we looked at required us to have a local phone number which added to the cost significantly.

@@thatbperson the gym we went to was COSPA near the mall in Yao. Funny you mention the phone number because it was an issue, however they spoke to the manager and agreed to allow us to use a foreign phone number. We tried other gyms and they wanted Japanese bank accounts. It was easily the most difficult place to sign up for a gym. The positive is that all gyms we saw were 24 hours. Thanks for watching

I guess you guys new in Japan. I have been here for more than 20 years. I could get a place for much cheaper with my Australian real estate agent. I guess what you are paying is the tourist trap prices. For a short time, you can just stay in those internet cafes overnight would be much cheaper. I also know many cheap places for shopping. New people usually learn the hard ways.
