SHOCKER: First Christmas In a FOREIGN LAND!

As a Ghanaian experiencing A Dutch Christmas for the first time, I was excited to see how jolly Dutch people are during this period. I went shopping for a REAL Christmas Tree for the first time and participated in the decorations. One snack stood out for me though, which is the Oliebol, a Dutch doughnut with raisins that is similar to a doughnut snack in Ghana called Bofrot, which a popular breakfast meal.

Lol Ileen and her dad have the same way of laughing. 😊 The only time I've been in the Netherlands, it was April so beginning of Spring and it was bone chillingly cold. I envy you not. I was chuckling while watching your teeth chatter with the cold. But nothing beats the fragrant smell of a real fir tree or a warm fireplace at Christmas. Enjoy!
