We decided to go with 37" Tires on the Wrangler 392, and because we love the stock wheels so much we mounted them on the stock 17x7.5" wheels. In this video, we test out the flex and check for rubbing with no lift.

Hey James, Looks and sounds real sharp!!! If your front lower control arm rubbing at full turn is minor (less than 1/2”), you may opt to add a few small SS washers to your steering stops to prevent the rubbing. Seems to work just fine for me. Just offering my 0.02 suggestion. 🔧

Depends on what load rating the tires are. Rubicon has C load rated tires and many people swap out the 285/70/17 to 35s or 37s and dont pay attention to load rating of the new tires and get E load tires which are super heavy and very stiff. Thats why the Wrangler rides rough after a tire swap. Putting an E load rated tire on a lightweight Wrangler and then having to drive around aired down to 22lbs of air just to get a comfortable ride because the tires are way too stiff

For daily driving and flex clearance the 35’s will be your best bet. I just personally like the extra beef, and since we are running 40’s on our Gladiator the 35’s and 33’s just seem so small now. I would stick with the 35’s and see how you like it, then you can always move up to 37’s later.

Now just need new 17x9” or 17x9.5” wheels in a 4.5-5.0 backspacing and not only will the wheels/tires look better the rubbing issue will be solved with a proper backspacing

Ok I don't know everything about Jeeps, but why mount on 7.5" rims when you should have wider ones with at least a 3" lift or more. Maybe you don't off road and or never will. Your tires are great but you air down you may have problems when you hit the rocks. Lets face it Granite Chrystal is a rocking color, I love mine. It does look great with the Nitto tires but with the lift you will loose the rub with proper rims. Yes my 35's with a two inch lift do rub the fender wells at extreme flex in the rocks. So I'm not Mr Know it all. Regardless enjoy the 392 and I look forward to see what up grades you make. Take care and enjoy your Jeep Rubicon 392. OMB

You mentioned the Gladiator, I have the Mojave which is supposed to be an inch taller and also an inch wider wheel stance ,Is that enough to eliminate the rubs with 37s?
