For our latest cabin comparison, TPG UK flew on Icelandair's Boeing 737 MAX 8 from London Heathrow to Keflavik Airport, Iceland. Nicky tried out Saga business class, while Liam headed to the back of the plane and compared the experience to Icelandair’s economy class.

Really nice video once again! :) But I just wanted to comment on the 3$ charge for the economy earphones - I think it makes people more responsible and prevent unnecessary waste. Like you said, not all passengers require them so it is best to not have them handed out to everyone by default, like most airlines do.

Air Europa charges €3 for headphones on a 12h flight. Tickets for those flights are over $800 usd so they should be giving those crappy headphones for free

This is a valid comparison between Business and Economy on the same plane. Unlike some US domestic flights, there's a clear difference between the two classes on IcelandAir. Good video!

I’ve only flown them to and from Seattle to Reykjavik. I upgraded to Saga on my way. The food I had was fine. I think I had salmon. My problem with them, the rtn to the US. There was a storm we weren’t aware of. They didn’t notify us that all flights to N America were cancelled. We found out from the few who were on the bus to the airport, who were not going our way, but still they got an alert. That bus ride was $50-$60 by the way. If we knew, we could have stayed at our hotel in Reykjavik. Once we got to the airport, we were only told the flights were cancelled, and we should come back the next day and maybe there would be flights. I watched other airlines, like WOW give out hotel and food vouchers. They arranged transportation for their passengers. We had to figure it our ourselves in the middle of a horrible storm. So, unless they’ve improved their process, I’ll pass on Icelandair.

Wow, what a great video showing the terminal at Heathrow International airport and then on to the plane. Two different perspectives one from business class and the other from economy. Overall the feeling from both of you guys is that the airline and it's staff were friendly and on point. Hey, you guys are lucky it seems that the flight is shorter then from my country de USA which is 4 hours and 45 minutes from Newark/New York to Reykjavik. You guys did not show the bathrooms on board the plane. The gent that was flying business class did not show the amenities kit if there was one given also the welcoming by the pilo and purser to all during the flight. Thanks again for the video showing both sides of the coin.

The business meal looked really nice. I don't like airlines which don't even offer a sandwich and a coke for free in economy. That's not a nice touch. The rest seems to be nice on board.

Cool vibe in the vid. All the Icelandair lovers are going to hunt you down lol. Icelandair has become a longhaul low-cost style airline (i.e. premium economy; plus buy-on-board economy) reflecting KEF as a hub. As a Premium Economy Saga Class is competitive. In economy, unfortunately the bad buy-on-board offer and general service lags Scoot or Jetstar longhaul, and even Ryanair or Wizz. My main issue is that Icelandair's prices are actually quite expensive, for what is essentially low-co with a PTV.

Love whatching your videos, but to be honest about one thing I am sure flight attendants don’t appreciate is that attendant call button challenge… Especially when your doing it for no reason other than the “challenge”. Flight attendants work long hours and walk a lot during flights so please respect that!

I flew Iceland Air Saga in March 2022. Onthe ground its wreck. IA has NO communication with its passengers and check in is a free for all. You have to muscle your way to the feont of the line for check in, boarding, etc. Lounges are git or miss. It depends on the airport. Ryshykagga (whatever) Airport IA lounge is about a kilometer away from the international terminal so its basically useless. In the aor is another matter. Saga is definitely worth it once your flying. Especially internationally. Good food, good headphones, lots of leg room. Worth the extra $$ or €€ or ££

Airport lounges always seem a bit hit and miss , some have a decent buffet, others are a very stingy bar with a few peanuts. Does icelandair still do the mini burgers? Last took a flight in 2018 and they had a 3 mini hamburger selection which was yummy. Who wants a full meal on a 3 hour flight anyway - lots of restaurants at the destination, with full size burgers

Aviation during the pandemic took a major blow as flights were being near shut off completely to airlines being forced to come up with innovative ways to adapt to the new norm. It’s been 2 years since the first lockdown and airlines now are flying more frequently (with compliance of government guidelines of course) to even opening up the airport lounges as well as other amenities and facilities. So I think it has been back to some degree you donut.

English Warriors flying in a 737 MAX/8, fantastic and honest review lads. Can understand the USB being below the IFE screen in economy as your tray is 6 inches below. But in Business Class, you need a 3 feet cable to charge your device., what`s the point of that?
