I work 48 hours a week managing a grocery store just got promoted this year. I had the opportunity to work at a steak shop that opened up in are store an additonal 40 hours a week for 2 months and the first thing I thought of was all the overtime all the 16 hour days my dad put in so I got anything I could dream of Christmas morning. I don't have kids but put my fiancé my parents (RIP Mom and Dad) and sisters went threw hell with 10 years of heroin use. I didn't hesitate saying yes so I could give those 3 girls that mean the world to me a special Christmas and show my mom and dad wherever they are there lil boy will take care off there girls. now a few days away and looking at it all I was able to buy, it all wrapped and knowing how happy proud and joyful they'll be knowing my fiancé got her man and my sisters there brother back and my dad put a big part of what made him so amazing in me, its literally one of the proudest feelings I've ever felt.i see what my dad was doing. it was NEVER about the gifts. it was NEVER about buying expensive shit. its about sacrificing and clocking in and showing up for the things u cherish and want celebrated and made to feel special. its showing the things u love the most the lengths ull go to to give them joy and show them the depth of that love. Im so greatful to be raised by such a man I know a lot of us aren't lucky enough to be. merry Christmas everyone. god bless u all. GO BIRDS!!!!!

Being born in Missouri, then living in Denver after 1977, and being "Grandpa's girls" my twin sister and I often fought over our teams....she was Broncos and I, like my beloved Grandpa, were Chiefs. I would be the ONLY one rooting for the Chiefs at family game day against the Broncos. As for Christmas spying, when my son was 11, HE snooped and found the presents.... when I told him my greatest joy was seeing the joy on his face opening the presents, he actually dragged the big bag of gifts out to our truck to take back to the store.
