No, man. Lin shidong almost got the taste of his own medicine, like which he did to Ma long at China Smash. Lin Shidong did illegal hook serve, and this kid did the same to him. Lin Shidong played very tactically here by not using the illegal hook serve in the 5th game to keep Farazi not to use it as well, and lo and behold, Farazi took the bait and didn't do the Hook Serve at the advantage game point. Had Farazi did the Hook serve, he had a better chance of winning against LSD. Also, I belive, had Lin Shidong hadn't done the illegal serve to Ma Long, Ma long would have won the China Smash 2024, but Ma Long lost most of the points on LSD's illegal hook serve. I wished that Ma Long does some illegal serve as well to give LSD the taste of his own medicine. LSD has been protested by many for his serve like Timo Boll, Anders Lind and others.

What a game! At the decider, both boys refused to lose. It's physically draining and emotionally dreading, two players, winner or loser both were exhausted even though they are boys. The 14 years old boy wanted to win so bad that he was in tears. LSD showed unusual amount of unforced errors in this match and surrendered first two games that forced him to exert lots of effort to climb back. His months long non-stop tournament play where he reached all finals slowly is taking toll on him and it showed in this match against a fearless, energetic and very skillful young opponent. LSD has steel like mentality and Faraji is a fearless fast uprising young star with full of potential.

Faraji’s serves are exceptional, with dangerous spin, often leading to third-ball attacks. His serves make the ball hook, bend, and jump, earning him many direct and indirect points. Another of Faraji’s weapons is his looping from mid to long distance. It’s incredible to watch how consistently he can land shot after shot on the table! Interestingly, Lin Sidong’s strength also lies in his aggressive mid to long-distance shots. In these rallies, Faraji actually won more points. However, Lin’s stronger backhand helped him secure the win. Both players performed incredibly well! That said, Faraji’s game is less familiar and less studied, so he might just be enjoying a bit of beginner’s luck.

Wow! The kid almost got the win. He cried, but it's so early for him to reach to the top, he is already on the ladder of the topnotcher in table tennis. He played well, the Chinese coach even did the thumbs up to him, and that means he is already good at it. 1 point Lead only at the last part.

The look on Lin's face at the end of the match is priceless! He was probably thinking, OMG, I nearly lost to this kid, Oh Confucius, thank you so much for letting me win and I didn't lose face. Lin Shidong was not in a good form, because he was very tired after 2 championships in Macao and Beijing. For this event, he had to play in Men's Team, Men's Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Single's. He had multiple matches every day and he was really exhausted. If he could focus on the single's, he'd do much better, but this is unlikely in the next 4 years. Look forward to seeing him play in the next Olympics!

Amazing skill on display by LSD when needed. He's the Lin Dan of Table Tennis. Other kid have potential, but needs a lot more improvement to be a competitive player. Any 14 yo with lots of energy can do what he does, with a bit of training. All in all, a good "exhibition game" and good for the sport.

Like the great Lin Dan said, "I've been lucky to have many others being so generous to me when I was working hard to become better." "It takes a great player to make me look good." A lesson well learned by many of the up and comers in any sport. Be humble, and recognize your weakness to learn how to manage them. Practice, practice, and practice more. In this match, when LSD had to win two middle games to equalize, he was quite efficient at it. Benyamin needs a good coach and a good support system to get him to refine his skills to become a future star.
