I got the two 4ah kit and charger for $66 from Kobalt at Lowe's during a clearance sale. It was a crazy deal for a charger and two 4ah batteries that I couldn't pass it up. I got the 1/2-inch Next-Gen Impact Wrench for $130 when they price matched an old discontinued one they said they had in stock, but couldn't find, but they gave me the newest version at the time for the same price which was $100 off the $230 full price of the Impact Wrench. Kobalt is great at getting deals on tools. Ryobi is a good brand too for getting tool deals throughout the year. The other brands don't really offer great deals really. There's deals on DeWalt from time to time on Woot, but they usually are still as expensive or more expensive than a good Kobalt tool, so it's nothing to write home about.

Best Kobalt deal was before Christmas...They had the XTR drill with battery and charger for only $129 AND a free 2 pack of 4Ah extended run batteries. I finally had the inspiration to get into that line

I got the XTR hammer drill and impact driver for $79 a few years ago.
@BradyA711 ай бұрын
I was recommending that to everyone. Insane value. I then found our store had the individual hammer drill kits on clearance and scooped that up with the recip saw for free and it totaled under $70 after the employee discount. Couldn’t believe how good of a deal that was. Xtr hd + 4ah max output battery and xtr recip saw for under $70…

Best Lowe's video I've seen in awhile. Now I have a reason to go. Nice explanation on Skil vs Craftsman and why you should go Craftsman for a few dollars more while not going for the $500 Flex vs the Bosch at ~$150, etc.

I’m invested in the craftsman 20v series, I’ve used and abused all my tools and they’ve held up great. Slowing working in the brushless series.

Personally at home, I love the skil power core 20v stuff. The ergonomics are incredible. At work I use Milwaukee, and I still prefer my Skil power tools over the Milwaukee.

That was a great vid 👍 A person definitely has to shop around nowadays, sometimes a tool only is a good deal, other times a yool and batteries is better value. Comparing the specs is keyto which one is going to be better for what you're doing with it.

The Craftsman brushless drill / driver combo comes with a free 4ah battery. Pretty good deal for a homeowner at $129. The best deal i saw this season at Lowes was the Kobalt XTR drill/ circular saw with an ultimate 4ah battery for $129. You can do a lot with that !

A battery can cost as much as the tool. Kits are cheaper than buying separately, but, still look at the price of the battery. One brand can be $40 and same ah in another brand might be $100. If you have to buy another battery, it's something to think about too.

Everyone I know has Milwaukee stuff for tinkering around the house with. I buy cheap ryobi stuff, I'm not a professional trades guy anymore. If my ryobi junk fails I'm out $100-$150 tops. None of it has ever failed though, I still use 18v batteries from 5 years ago in my cordless trimmer and they hold a charge.

I love the information man, for a big store it's understandable but Depot and Lowe's could also market their products alot better. Seems like you can walk through there for hours and not find what ya need if it's not a "popular" product. I see it as a sales floor, sort of like a used car lot 😂

I wonder if all the flex kits with the leaky batteries are going to make the back isle or are they just sending them back to the manufacturer.

Always buy smart but always buy the tools that fits how you use them … 12v has its place and 20v has its place and corded tools … there is a lot of Value in Middle tear tool brands.
