I know their pain. My Lhasa Apso was attacked by a GSD while on a walk. The owners of the GSD were not remorseful. So I held the city accountable for not upholding state laws. This was not the first time but it was the last. The emergency veterinarian bill, thank GOD I had pet insurance.

@@jacquelinepayne4737 That's super scary. I'm glad you were able to get your dog to a vet, and I'm glad it was the last time it happened I have two dogs, but they're big, and I know one of them I know would do that if he got annoyed for the smallest reason, so I also try to keep them away from the smaller ones. Poor little dog. His screams went right through my heart. With any dog, large or small, one of the first commands they should be taught is "Leave". I hope the owner(s) of the big dogs who attacked Shiva were traced and either prosecuted for allowing their dogs to be dangerously out of control, made to pay Shiva's vet bill or both. Just glad Shiva made a full recovery and didn't lose his confidence.

Dogs known to bite /grab should be on leads ! Be taught how to socialise with other dogs from being 8 week old god sakes
@Pythonaria
@Pythonaria 2 жыл бұрын
@@AOTgirl95x Agree with you. All dogs, no matter how big or small should be trained from an early age and socialised with other dogs and humans. I adopted my last dog from a rescue. He was 18months - 2 years old and had been really badly abused by his previous owners (they were prosecuted). He thought a lead was for being beaten by. He spent 3 months in a good, knowledgeable foster home where they taught him the basics and what a lead was really for. When I adopted him, I kept the training going and enrolled him in a local, very good training class. A good time was had by both dogs and humans, the dogs learning various activities as well as the usual walking to heel, sit and recall. It was all done with treat training. The dogs got lots of treats and the humans had tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits - all for £2 per session. Result was I had a well behaved dog I could take anywhere. He was a gentle soul, good with our cats, children and humans. He passed away from old age 2 years ago and I still miss him. Unfortunately, people get a dog/puppy and think the poor thing is going to train itself.

I would like to hear more about the two big dogs that did the attacking. Were the owners with them? Is there a history of previous aggression issues? Did the owners show remorse and take responsibility? Having been the owner of large dogs I feel badly for all concerned. I found that the reason the large dogs might go after a small dog is that they aren’t recognizing the difference between a small unfamiliar dog and a squirrel or other small furry woodland animal. I have a fenced in backyard so the dogs have freedom to run and play but inevitably nature happens. I get squirrels, birds, raccoons, opossums, and snakes in my yard. The dogs think they are play things and the quick movements grab their attention. I’m grateful that very seldom do my dogs actually catch one of the animals.

I’ve watched quite a few Pomeranian clips and none can solve my question. My friend has a Pom, she is lovely when she doesn’t growl and bite. There was a few times where she wanted a pet/rub by me, “she was ok and happy at the beginning but she bites me outta sudden”. Let me be clear, it’s just a normal petting or massaging and she definitely liking it hence I did not stop however still got bitten at the end. Can someone answer this? The Pom request me to pet her, I did not touch her without her permission but Why would she still react that way to me? She also has food aggression, growl when I was far away and bite when I get close to check her out (I do not expect to change on this, perhaps too late for the training). I clean up her space, feed her, gave her treats every time I visit why she still doesn’t recognise me?🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ I hope this can finally be solved, thanks.

This is why I’m over protective of my boy when I have him out working. People bring aggressive dogs and label them as service dogs, I worry he will get attacked. He’s around 11lbs and I know a big dog could very well hurt him. He loves other dogs and doesn’t see aggression as anything other then that dogs play style, he will try to pull me towards a dog that is barking, growling and lunging…

My last poor dog he was a chihuahua he was attacked by a old English bulldog he also suffered severe bruising to his neck and ribs he was the same after this It’s alright for the vet to say to carry on as normal but what about if the owner like I am to not just witness but to watch as your dog is thrown into the air and the owners of the other dog who in my case were teenagers and to hear that scream it just shocked me but also the financial side of it it cost £400 which I had to pay over 6 months

I agree. It makes me calmer when there’s larger more powerful breeds on a leash or with one of those cloth muzzles. Since they’re animals you don’t know how unpredictable they can get until you see a dog attacking another dog in person. And it’s a horrible sight to see…

If your dogs attack other animals put a muzzle on it and or keep it contained people. DO NOT put other people's pets or children at risk: if you know your dog has a problem take steps to prevent it from happening. If the owner of the other dogs is found they should be fined for not properly securing their dogs. IF YOUR DOG IS A DANGER TO OTHER ANIMALS OR PEOPLE YOU NEED TO TAKE ACTION TO MAKE SURE THE DOG IS SECURE AT ALL TIMES *AND* CANNOT INJURE ANOTHER ANIMAL OR A PERSON. That means put a muzzle on your dog to prevent it from biting and invest some training into your dog and keep it on a leash and don't leave the dog outside alone so it's less likely to get away from you and hurt other living things. It's called being a responsible pet owner.

I just can’t understand why some humans haven’t learned of the word “dog leash” I know this was a dog park and this is not a hate to these owners on the vid but to the owners or big dogs, i don’t care if you dam dog is trained to stay whit you and not running off KEEP YOUR DOGS ON A LEASH!! This might happened!!! Hey some dogs that are that “trained” attacks kids as well and the some people say “oh he/she just wants to say hi” and the kid gets pushed down and gets bitten. Imagine if it was a baby now THAT HAS HAPPENED!! Please people if you have a dog keep them on a leash, especially big dogs, if you have a yard whit fence then that’s cool IF it’s just your dogs but if it’s a dog park? I’d have my baby on a leash then seeing him getting tased around and end up like this sweet Pomeranian or worse

You never EVER medicate/sedate an animal without first assessing their condition, UNLESS it's for life-saving measures. And until they shaved him, they had no way of assessing his injuries from the outside, when nothing was found via X-ray. You'll quickly learn that in medicine (both for humans and animals) is that sometimes temporary pain and stress is the lesser evil compared to what might be currently wrong with the patient. I get the intention and worry, truly I do. But you're going about it entirely the wrong way.
