I love how Garrett's intuition was so spot on. He didn't even relax, he knew right away that something was terribly wrong, he kept asking questions to get as much information out as he could, and the only reason Robbi would give the money back is to get someone to stop making an issue.

I think everyone, that actually has a decent grasp of poker, had that reaction to the hand. The. Only people saying that she definitely didn’t cheat are people with a childlike understanding of poker. There are even comments on this video saying that “Robbi was the only person with enough balls to call Garrett’s bluff.” 😂 Even if she didn’t cheat, it would be more along the lines of she is the only person Garrett has ever played against who is stupid enough to make that call. If by some miracle she didn’t cheat, it goes down as the worst high stakes poker play of all time and one of the worst at any level.

I think the hate is because the DEFAULT should be that the person didn't cheat unless you have solid proof of it. I mean, I bet I could find lots of hands where Polk made similar hero calls. Yet, I would never even hint that he may have cheated... because the default is that he just makes good reads some times. Now, if we looked at all of his game play and seen some kind of statistical anomaly then I think you might have some evidence. However, they have been looking into this incident with her for years now and all they really have is this ONE HAND. A hand against someone she had a business relationship with. If I can easily make the leap that Polk can sometimes get a read on people he doesn't know that well then surely I can give her the same benefit of the doubt when it comes to someone she knows very well. Bottom line, there is nothing wrong with covering this story... he is doing more than just that though imo. I still like Polk and all of that, I just disagree with how this has been covered.

Doug, on the subject of taking hate: I've watched a s-ton of youtubers and I've never listened to one that so consistently (and, yes, courageously) has said what they think as you have. It’s a rare breath of fresh air. Even your sarcasm, which could be used to penetrate deeply, is often used to soften a blow rather than set it hard with someone you think needs a nudge (or that's how I've seen it). I'm an old man compared to you, I sub'd to your channel because I heard honest tones and I was trying to learn to play better poker (and I did, thanks to you -- sorry, skipped the classes and just sucked up TONS more of you (and a few others, but mostly you). Made money last year.) And so I really don't know for sure whether or not you're a sociopath (and are faking all the integrity for EV) but I can seriously say, if you are, you're the best one I've ever "met". Never a flinch in your delivery the like of which is so common *even among good youtubers* when there's a subject that comes a bit too close. And so, (since you like a little over-the-top in your presentations, here goes:) if I was forced to play all my chips against the aces who call you out only to put you down, I think the flop would leave me at least an open-ended straight flush that you're one of the more honourable people in your game and far beyond the average in many games. By contrast: There's another poker youtuber who puts out some interesting videos from time to time, and he's a charming lad. But, before he gets to anything I want to hear I have to look at his callipygous wife’s ass more than I find comfortable; I mean, yes she’s beautiful but are you selling shares or something? So stick with it my lad, the thing you are doing may grow slower and be smaller than some others but it will live like Doyle did (and does) in the history of poker while callipygous asses are virtually everywhere these days.

Doug, You've done an amazing job at reporting on this and doing ACTUAL information gathering and bringing the situation to light. We appreciate your hard work and dedication to setting things right for the poker world. This sport (and yes, it IS a sport to all the naysayers) has gained a lot of traction over the years and no one wants to see it backtrack now because of some dishonest thieves. If they are found guilty, I hope that Hustler can recover from this and I think they are 100% doing the right thing on being completely transparent and open during this investigation. Thanks for your great content, humor, and outlook on poker as a whole. I hope to get the chance to meet you, Brad Owen, and Andrew Neeme someday.

Hoping you put out a new video on the end report. I just read the Yahoo story so I don't have that report. I have not heard if they even checked her phone for either the message app or another one that could simply cause a vibration to prompt her that another player was bluffing. I believe too many folks are over thinking it. Dude had access to see Garrets hole cards. Same dude takes 10% of the of the winning hand from just the 1 player on the table that WON the controversial hand. Her hand makes zero sense for anyone playing those stakes to make that call. Then she gave the money back, probably so he wouldn't file charges against her, which would have resulted in them confiscating that phone and reviewing messages sent to it. Not to mention she did not grind her way up to these stakes or was some uber successful person that could care less about the money (only 2 types of players at those stakes). My thought is she got some indication (vibrating phone or something) when to call a bluff, via her phone or some other electronic device. If they are smart, they only do this ONCE in a session for a big hand! Which is what happened. Problem here is she chose the WRONG hand to do it because it made no sense unless she knew. Now had she had just bottom pair... suspicion but now controversy. No need to look at every other hand throughout the night for more cheating, rather just to determine if she knows what she's doing or not and to see if she ever makes a big fold. No information in all of this can prove that something this simple could not have happened, rather it proves that it could have. And now the precautions have been made to not enable this by having the room put in with the door closed during filming and an RF bag put into the room to prevent comms. At the end of the day, she either cheated or she's a moron. I don't think she's a moron because who stakes a moron? Maybe I am missing something man but if I'm not, I think she absolutely cheated just as Garrett believed the second it happened. I watch too much murder TV to dismiss this much circumstantial evidence for her to be innocent.

One really odd thing - I remember the Postle debacle and thinking that if I were in Postle's shoes and I had NOT cheated, I'd have to deal head-on with the piles of evidence that suggested I did cheat. I'd have to explain why, despite appearances, I actually did not cheat. If Robbi didn't cheat, she'd have to be thinking the same way. "Gosh, I know it looks really bad, but here is a story consistent with the evidence that shows why I just did something dumb." That we haven't heard a consistent narrative around her actions makes me suspicious, just like it did with Postle.

I think you're right, the filing cabinet isn't male nor female, and Doug has hard hitting proof that Obama put the filing cabinet there. I appreciate how intricately Doug analyzed that sometimes people act kind of a certain way, and sometimes she acted kind of a different way. This is 100% proof she cheated. What might’ve happened is: that Brian talked to Robbie and said my cut is 15 grand or 10% and she said go ahead and take it from the stack At the time they weren’t concerned about an investigation and video scrutiny And then he paid the other guy 10 grand And later on in video review when they caught him and confronted him, he was like I stole it, so he didn’t have to admit that they were cheating together

I thought the same thing but just realized it is irrelevant: If Robbie was cheating, her play would have been even more of a mistake. Cheaters call all-in when they know they are a lock to win. This was a coin flip. A Cheater would have folded the Flop and waited for a River where they had the best hand.
