wow!!! Love all your sharing about UK and your POV of this dance!! Having the knowledge of 觀音 the past year, I watch this is a whole new perspective!!! I still remember those time when I was little and watching 雅典奧運 with my family.... Glad you DIGGED out this performance~ or else....I didn't recall this one~ Only until I've been through so much that I could understand the meaning of 千手觀音:)菩薩 女神 ~

他们跳舞也只是觉得虽然身残,但还能做事情,不会无聊而消沉。所以,这个团体是为了自己而舞动。

Most important why did they choose to perform this thousand eyes thousand hands Goddess of Mercy Dance? May each of us have eyes and hands to help in whatever way we can on this planet.
Hello, Thank you for making this video and acknowledging the true original dancers! However, a troupe called the Mayyas copied this technique and dance moves and presented on America's Got Talent and won a large monetary prize recently. It is sad they would copy-plagiarize an artistic dance performed by people with disabilities and pass it as their own...cultural appropriation if you will. The Dance of a Thousand-Hands, otherwise known as the Thousand-Hand Guan Yin Dance, is a performance which consists of 63 performers who are all Hearing impaired. The dance was created by famed Chinese choreographer, Zhang Jigang. He sums up the performance with the following message. "As long as you are kind and there is love in your heart A thousand hands will naturally come to your aid As long as you are kind and there is love in your heart You will reach out with a thousand hands to help others."
