Yes.its a veil that will hinder the humans from seeing ghosts or beings from 'that dimension'.some ppl are gifted,means their hijab is lifted from since they were born and they can see them all.some ppl do practises evil or religious to have their hijab lifted.while common ppl like us,pray hard each day that our hijab wont be lifted :)

My brother's friend sang Mayang Ulek when they were in Langkawi. They went there for a vacation. When they were at the beach, as he finish singing, he suddenly saw 7 beautiful girls playing and swimming. He went to join them and flirted a little. Suddenly he felt someone slapping him. When he opened his eyes his friends were trying to pull him out of the water. The girls were no where to be found. His friends thought he was trying to commit suicide. His friends said when they realised that he was drowning, they could only see his head. His whole body was fully in the water. When they tried to save him, he fought them off. That was why they slapped him. Should they be a little late, he'd be dead.

Dont get confused with the hijab😂 The hijab he was talking about was not the hijab that muslim women wear, but instead, hijab is another word to explain some kind of border or layer that enables human to see the other world. Jin is a creature that we muslim believe exist before human being live in this world and they can resemble any living form and sometimes they appear as a ghost like Toyol, pocong, langsuir etc. Some of them were kept as SAKA (usually they were used in black magic)
@milahadi4155
@milahadi4155 4 жыл бұрын
Fyi, saka is kept by the old generations for many reasons. Back to the old days, there were no technologies, medicine and etc. However people need to survive. Thus jinn was used as 'khadam" to help them to do work (clear the forest), cure the sick people, transportation, deliver baby and also to look after for the next generation. As for the exchange they will have to do something for the jinn (eg. Feeds the jinn with some ritual). Saka also was inherited by the next generation with their knowledge or even without their realize it. Ustaz kazim elias also said 99.9% of malays do inherit saka from their old generation. Since human and jinn have different lifespan, the jinn can lives longer uptill the new generation. While the old one had died. However, modernization had made the new generation forgot about the saka. Thus all the rituals were left. And the "hukum" (rules) for keeping a saka is now haram since it was not needed anymore. That is why the saka come and disturbs the new generation. Some even missing and die..

Basically Jinn (genie) is a spirit living in other realms/dimension. Everyone around the world do have some belief about spiritual beings, just that they call it with different names; ghost, evil beings, even the devils as well as those deities pagans believe; in Islam, they are all known as Jinn - a being living in another dimension. And these spiritual beings, like us humans, have different races, belief, culture, etc (some of them are Muslims, some are non believers). This explains why, each countries around the world hv varieties of spirit/ghost, while some have similarities (eg. Western hv draculas, bogeyman, etc, while Asians hv Kitsune, Kappa, Gumiho, even Pontianak, pocong, toyol, etc in Malaysia). Also, hijab as everyone said, is not just associated with headscarves. The word 'Hijab' basically means 'cover', (hence why headscarf are called hijab because it covers the head/hear from being seen) And the 'hijab' in the story particularly meant for the 'cover' on eyesight - in Islam, all humans have 'hijab' put on their sight so that they won't be able to see the spirit world, but only when death is near that this sight will finally be opened. But some people can have their hijab opened, i.e, having the sixth sense, accidentally or voluntarily (like in the story). Imo, the reason why humans have 'hijab' is so that people won't do unnecessary/forbidden things and so that people won't go nuts, since spiritual beings/Jinns have different knowledge than us humans.

"Ulek Mayang" is the traditional dance now. But if i not mistaken, before Malay people really practice Islam, the dance used to be one the performances to invoked spirit. Same goes to "Saka", it actually also in Jinn category. It called "Saka" because people made an agreement with them to protect them or their family or property and there must be something in return likes serving the Jinn food on agreed time, and it not like common food that we know and i believe there is some ritual while they serving the food to the Jinn. And the agreement won't stop even when the one that made the agreement died, it must be pass on the next generation likes one of their kids. They also can cut the ties, but from what i know it really hard. Soooooo many things need to be done.

Hearing this story reminds me of my cousin's story. I heard about this probably more than 20 years after it happened from my mom so I'm sure there's a lot of things she forgot to tell me but I'll tell a bit about the things I know here if anyone wants to read some more stuff about jinn. So firstly, we have quite an age gap between my siblings and the cousin I'm talking about now. She was in high school when this happened, my older siblings was less than 10, and I wasn't even born yet. She was riding the bike home after school and suddenly went missing. They found her bike at the path she always took but despite it being a dirt path there was no sign of her at all. No shoes, no bags, no struggle marks, no footsteps around the bike, no nothing. Just traces of her bike coming from her school's direction and stopping where her bike is. Reports were made soon after and law enforcements was involved and the whole village was searching for her. There was no signs of her at all. Searching efforts continued for a couple weeks but because there was no signs at all so it was discontinued. The family was told there's a possibility she's already dead and was encouraged to perform 'solat jenazah ghaib' (sorry, too lazy to find translation haha) but basically it's a prayer for the dead performed when the body is unavailable. My aunt refused to believe her daughter is dead though and just continued praying for her safe return. The family continued their own search for my cousin. No further info was gained for months after her disappearance. The family was losing hope. But around 3 months after the disappearance, my cousin came back to her home. Very clean and healthy, as if she never went anywhere, as if she just came back from school that day. But she didn't came back alone... she came back with her "brother". A brother no one could see or heard besides her. So here comes the story from my cousin's part. On her way back from school she felt lightheaded and fainted, she woke up again to a whole new place. A beautiful village filled with extremely gorgeous people. It was a jinn's village. So jinns can have their own beliefs and religion, and the ones in that village are all muslim jinns. A family of jinn fell in love with my cousin and wanted to adopt her as their daughter. I don't know if there was a period where she refuses or if there was back and forth discussion/persuasion that happened, but in the end for some reason she agreed. She said she was treated greatly and kindly there, her days was mostly spent with her new family reciting the Quran. I guess the time flows differently in that world because despite getting back in around 3 months, she said she spent more than 3 years there. After "3 years" of being there she told her new family that she misses her own family, the real ones. After a lot of persuasion they agreed...on one condition... one of her "brothers" will go back with her to protect her. I don't know what they wanna protect her from though. So there she was, back at her home. She demanded a room for her new brother to live in so the family had to leave a room vacant despite them not being able to see anyone. Sometimes my cousin would go in the room and talk to "him" but most of the time "he" doesn't get out of the room unless my cousin went out of the house. He eats like normal humans do and my aunt would leave a plate full of food in the room and would come back to it being completely clean. One time my cousin visited my family and her brother was there too. My older siblings was playing with balls in the house and my mother recalled my cousin getting mad at them for letting the ball hit her brother. Of course, not being able to see him plus being kids my siblings totally ignored her and it made her cry because she's sad for her brother. My mother had to console her and reprimanded my siblings lol. I don't know what happened in between but her brother went away. Now she lives a normal life being a wife and mom. Haha it ends up being longer than I expected. I thought I could summarize it better lol

I'm actually really confused cause my teacher told me that once you stepped in their realms, they won't let you go even though you begged them unless they wanted to. But once they caught you again they won't even have a thought to let you go back to your realms. And if they let you go, you won't remember anything that had happened. Let's say you're lost for 2 months in deep forest but when you came back, you'll think that you're gone for 2 hours instead of 2 months and will just remeber strolling around for 2 hours and came back. He said this cause his uncle had once lost for 3 months and didn't even remember what had happened to him and just said that he went to some place ( I don't remember ) and came back.

The Ulek Mayang is said to have its origin in an ancient tale about a sea-princess who fell in love with a fisherman. The princess abducted the fisherman's soul, leaving his body unconscious. His friends entreated a bomoh (shaman) to heal him. When the bomoh conducted the healing ritual to bring the fisherman's soul back, the princess appeared and responded by calling on five of her sisters to her aid. The battle between the bomoh and the six princesses continued until seventh and the eldest princess appeared and put an end to it. "I know your origins,” says the eldest princess, and she commands everyone, "Let those from the sea return to the sea, and those from the land return to the land." The grateful bomoh and the fisherman’s friends present the princess with coloured rice as an offering to the spirits of the sea. This practice, along with the Ulek Mayang dance, continued until the Islamization movement of recent decades.

But it's okay to play the song since when it published as a song, their exchanged the lyrics..and not use the real spell to called the spirit.. Mayang Ulek is not really devils dance. More like a ritual from/for mystical land (spirited world) . Often being used to treat unexplainable illnesses (more like paranormal) at close the beach back in the days. Now the dance is the official performance in Terengganu, but with most care and restrictions. It is very haunting

ulek mayang. is like the legend of the legends. if we're about to perform it as a performer or contestant, there's like uh sum STRICT rules we WAJIB hahahah or must follow. i can't tell you the details since it's maghrib here but to just uh simply put it. 1 of the rules that we have to obey is that when we're performing and anyone just like the performers or spectators' possesed by the thing. we must finish the whole dance and song and we CAN'T CAN'T CAN'T STOP. No matter what, you can't stop dancing untill the song finishes. and i think there's an original verse that you can't sing and if you sing it, yep you know.

Hey i have an idea for the next horror stories. You should review about several case in Malaysia where a person lost in the jungle for a week. For example, Ashraf that lost in the jungle while participating in Ultra Trail in Gopeng in 2019. Investigator team cannot find any evidence at all and decided to close the case. People believe that he stuck in the Village of Jin and married to Jin. A group of ustaz found him in the thick jungle after opened their "hijab" but Ashraf refuse to come back to our world. Really interesting story and remain mystery until now. There are also multiple lost man case in Bukit Broga and they are found after a week of missing. They claim that they stuck in World of Jin after being interviewed.

I still remember clearly the incident when i study at kulim, that night i want go back to my home from Penang.. when I went through BKE Highway, that area is too dark and i drive on fast lane.. suddenly i saw someone lying on the road, I could see his face clearly because of the light from my car (because i use LED bulbs for my headlamp) and he eye look like he just watching me but can't do anything (maybe he unconscious) and I just step my brakes pedal hardly (emergency brake, luckily my swift have good ABS) and the car behind me also make a hard brake (still remember that Proton Persona, luckily that car not hit my car).. I switched ON the hazard light and move to the emergency lane after that few car also do the same thing.. i suspected that is hit and run accident, 2 people lay down at road (unconscious) and 1 motorcycle but there is no other vehicles stop before me.. and suddenly, (I think Toyota Innova) hit both of them, and my friend ask me to drive away because afraid if other vehicles lost control and hit our car.. so i continue my journey and when i stop at toll booth, tell the workers at toll booth that i saw the accident, he just tell me that they already know.. so after i send my friend, I go back to my house.. and i tell my roommate about the accident and he just scolded me because i back too late (already pass midnight) and he said something followed me back home.. (he is silat student and can sense something that we cannot see).. so before i sleep, he read something to guard the room, so that thing cannot enter our room... But after few minutes i sleep.. i get a dream.. old guy with white robe, he point he finger to my left and i turn my head to the left and i wakeup with my head turn to left.. i saw something squat on top of my clothes hanger/Drying rack.. that thing just look exactly like human but all black.. that thing just squat and not moving.. i try to wake my roommate because our mattress is just side by side but he just told me "xde pape, tido je la" (there is nothing, just sleep) and when i push his body and he scolded me "tido je lah! Xpayah layan" ( just sleep! Ignore it) 🤣 now i know.. he also can feel that thing inside our room.. because he not moving a bit.. just sleep facing to the wall 🤣.. and i feel like want to run out from my room, but that clothes hanger is near to the door 😭.. what i can do, just sleep 🤣...
@OGLuckyBaozi
@OGLuckyBaozi 4 жыл бұрын
👍 To add my two cents : we humans have finite capacity / capability to understand / withstand the “other” . Too much information / stimulus are actually harmful to our psychological balance. Hence the “hijab” was placed on us. A blindfold so that we could go through life without being disturbed by the myriad of things that shared this world with us. A friend told me a story about a relative's sibling who didn't have the hijab since birth. They lived a very difficult life, constantly seeing unimaginable things and unable to make a meaningful relationship with any outsiders, because of the constant visual disturbance from their lack of hijab. Hard to go playing with friends when you can see several ghoulish things in the playground. Scared to go to school because of several things floating around in the building. Difficult to go out because the streets are filled up with not only human beings. And then there's the stigma of being accused of mental illness because you were merrily chatting with someone, only to realize that nobody else can see them. Unless you have strong mentality and fortitude, this is absolutely a horrible life...

Mayang Ulek or Ulek Mayang is a traditional dance in malaysia. However,this dance categories as "dangerous" as there's some case when ppl perform the dance,they end up being possessed. There is a special song for this dance,the title also same as the dance name "ulek mayang". Some malaysian singers recorded that song in their own version. But however,the one that us malaysian used to hear,are not the complete song. Someone altered that song,so its kinda less spooky. I read it somewhere,if someone sing the full version of the song,u can actually end up being posess as ulek mayang song is actually a song to summon jinn/devil

Ulek Mayang is actually an old ritual dance that are used to worship/Offering of some kind to the spirits of the sea. i personally like the melody of this song. It's "calming" in a sense that i can't explain why. I've personally stumble upon people performing this ritual when i was a kid(13 y/o i think) near a beach i was visiting in Terengganu. I remember seeing people floating something into the sea while others are dancing to the ulek mayang. I was unable to watch the whole ritual cuz my mom was calling for me. P/s: the songs on utube aren't complete. They should be all of the 7(?) princesses mention in the song to complete the whole ritual so you are aokey to listen to it. Btw, all these black magic can also be related to our traditional craft and art. Our martial art, Silat used as one of the ways to communicate and control the black magic. But normal people don't learn that kind of silat, we learn Silat like normal people learn Karate and Taekwondo. Only certain people use it for black magic.

There are many story about Ulek Mayang. Even if u search "Ulek Mayang at KLIA", u can see how scary it is, even though they just dancing. I remember reading a story about it. Not the history, but about a guy who make a ritual about it. Basically Ulek Mayang is about 7 princess (if i'm not mistake) who actually a jinn. So the story I read is about a boy, he sitting alone in his room while all his room mates are doing sports outside. It was night time, so he felt bored and suddenly he remember about Ulek Mayang. So he prepare some stuffs, and do somewhat like ritual. Suddenly he saw 7 beautiful women dancing in his room. So bla bla bla suddenly they turns into an ugly creatures and attack him. And bla bla bla after he safe, his body full of scares that are from scratches.

"Hijab" simply means something to be hide. In this ghost story, "hijab" means a layer that man cant see into the other world. I'm also a person can saw into the other world at my previous time at my younger age. It doesn't mean that im a great because i can saw into the other world but it was because my "handicap". It happened to me for a long time until i got married, and suddenly i cant see into the other world anymore. It mean after i got married, im no more a "handicap" person anymore because my wife "perfect" me. If u say that watching a ghost in the movie is scary, in my experiance watched "them" was much worst. For me, all the ghost that they try to show and scared us in the movie is "beautiful", not like the real one...!!! The real bad jinn or ghost is so much much worst compared to the ghost in the movies. Their body structure and face is much scary and u cant imagine it if u dont see them. Since i can remember, a ghost always came to me and scared me all the time especially when i got fever and when bed time. Im scared of them till my age was 10, my mom's friend "cured and fixed" my spirit and i no more scare after that. I always watching them try to scared me (because that is their job, to scared people) but i just ignored them all the time. When i married, suddenly i cant see them anymore. This is the true story im telling u guys, i swear. So if u watch horror movies and they show to u a ghost, it is nothing compared to the real one... lol

I believe Malaysian police has K-9 dogs unit. If well trained dogs cant even find the trace, and this is not even a high profile case, so there must be something peculiar or mystic thing involved. This is a good plot for a movie because at the end no one knows what happened except the mom's family. Add on: The event where the tiger jinn want to pick a fight with a man who has saka, YES it does happen to the ustaz that came to my sister's house. The ustaz wanted to do purifying to my sister's house because a family of Jinn resided there. After the event, the ustaz got high fever for a week.

I was born in terengganu, so i knw a lil bit history of ulek mayang..ok let me tell u guys the story..a long time ago, theres a prince ,a prince from siamese empire if not mistaken who fell sick and unconscious in such a sudden while playing sepak takrow (kick volleyball) at the beach..everyone around the state failed to cure him..then the king decided to ask help from the princes of the bunian (elves)..there were 7 beautiful princesses..they were sibling and had their own character n personality..they made an agreement,if they succeed,they want the prince come and play with them atleast once a year at the beach..so they started the ritual and performed the dancinh of the ulek mayang in order to cure the prince..one by one,the princesses try to cure the prince but they failed, until the 7th princes (the youngest one) came to cure..n she succeed..then the prince keep the promise of the agreement..they played together every year until one day,the prince growing old and died ..then,no one will play with them.anymore..but they still there,waiting for the prince.that's why the ulek mayang song is forbidden to sing..but the new version, they changed the lyric..i guess,its not haunted anymore. But still scary..please dont try.

Ulek Mayang is a traditional dance and has it own story. The song can possess. Whoever sing the song till the end will get possessed or see things or be disturb by the spirit that tied to the song. its a curse song. people do somehow sing the song but not till the end. never finish the song. ulek mayang actually been performed alot too as traditional performances. it's about princesses etc. i don't dare to search for the full story so i cant tell much..

The first story was a real story. There is one case about Acap that are still missing until now! Btw, ulek mayang. Its ok to follow the dance but do not sing the full song, that's why if they want to perform ulek mayang, they will cut or rearrange the song. Ulek Mayang and Kuda Kepang are the traditional dances that involve mystic things, IDK why.

Mayang ulek is a story about 7 princesses. They were so beautiful and wear colourful dress. There one artist write a song about this ' ulek mayang' . Based on my experience during high school. We dance to this song. After few time repeating the song. My friend who's have open the hijab suddenly feel not good and wanted to stop the dance and want to go home and her friend secretly ask 'why' she said ' she saw 'someone' on a top of a roof near the classroom where we practice the dance. After that another girl student fainted [she's being possesed ] and other are crying. After the incident. Many student like crying and sometime being possesed, but I don't remember what happend next. I think my sister's friend who their dad often to resolve casses like this came and chase that ghost/someone/something.

Haiya! Why do you drag other youtuber's name to Blimeys in here? Not just that. You wrote "... famous". You cant ethically do that to other youtuber like this. It is like asking an actor (who's promoting her film in an interview with her) a question, "do you know an excellent n famous actor named ...". Why do you have to ask such question to them on their own channel?! I would have taken your question as an insult if i were them. Sorry to say, i'm simply disgusted.

OMG... just like my experience... I am a teacher in a small village... 2015, my first year as a teacher there's something happened at the village... an old lady (also called 'opah' in malay) just disappear from her house... no signs for her disappear... polices n firefighters also helped for searching that opah... after 2 months that case just closed... many ustaz also called for helping... all of them just said that opah already living with 'bunian' family n will never return... 'bunian' have their own village but cannot see by normal people, people with 'six senses' told that each person in 'bunian' village always look young...

Regarding about "Ulek Mayang" (or as you say it Mayang Ulek): It's a ritual that came from the East Coast of Malaysia, specifically the State of Terengganu, in which the ritual itself is a traditional medication on possessed person. Based on legend - a fisherman goes fishing at sea and the spirits of the sea (as sea-princess. fun note: the are 7 princess) taken his soul. a shaman are tasked to get back that man soul and fights with those 7 princess, which the last one ended the fight. Up until now - the song itself, the Ulek Mayang are known to be spooky, like calling something supernatural when you play it at wrong time and wrong places (in which there's some case because of it). The song that you can find on KZbin are the toned down version after Islamization, but the original one are meant for calling the spirits (read: sea princess).
