Weldone DIY.... So, I also rear noilers too... Both males and females... I let them free range... And from 5 months I started giving them layers mash mixed with grower... Of recent the female began laying eggs but they wouldn't sit on it to incubate it... Fortunately for me, I have a broody female Muscovy duck and I decided to put their eggs under the duck hoping the eggs would Hatch... To my surprise...few days ago... I witnessed the eggs hatch after one another...it was a 90% hatch rate success I Removed the chicks from under the duck and put them in a makeshift brooder (a condemned refrigerator... I was really surprised...that it could work Having Muscovy ducks on a farm is quiet an asset as they would readily incubate eggs from chicken as if it's their own... I believe fellow DIY poultry enthusiasts can use this method... especially those who desire to have more chicks instead of selling the eggs... Weldone For what you do to this community.. God bless you immensely....

Thanks so much for the education, you are well appreciated! I have noiler about ten and took broiler the following day so I've been raising them together with broiler feed. Hope it will not affect the female at the laying point?

I have some in my farm. They're amazing breed stronger than broilers ☺️ Can you breed turkey and Noiler together in the same pen?
@feathers_pro2 жыл бұрын
Well, raising Noilers and Turkeys in same pen is not the best practice. However, I managed to make them cohabit. That doesn't mean that it cannot get brutal. They can get into a serious fight but I guess I was lucky.
