The EWS Example provided in the video at 2:57 is incorrect. Unlike Reservations (Which are an exclusive category), the General category is an inclusive category. Which means that you will be eligible in the General category even if you are in the Reservation Category. Example: If there are 100 Seats, and 50% of those seats are under the Reservation Category, then that means that someone under Reservation Category has access to the 50% Reservations seats as well as the 50% of the General Seats (100% of the Seats are Accessible). But for someone under the General Category only 50% of the seats are accessible (The other 50% are restricted due to not qualifying under reservation). Aka: If you have EWS, then you will be eligible for the 10% Quota and the General Category Quota as well. That means that if the EWS Cutoff was 99.5% and the General Cutoff was 99.2%, but you got 99.3%, then you will still be eligible (Not under the EWS Quota, but under the General).

If any quota candidate gets marks at par with qualified general candidate ,then that student is treated as general, not in reserved quota. That is the rule.

BE IT EWS SC ST IF THE SEATS ARE FULL FOR EACH QOUTA A GUY WITH EWS/SC/ST IF HAS MORE SCORE THAN THE GENERAL CUTOFF WILL GET IN THE GENERAL SEAT. GENERAL CUTTOFF IS FOR EVERYONE EVEN IF YOU ARE AN EWS/SC/ST. SO RESERVATION WON'T MAKE IT DIFFICULT IN ANY WAY

Apka tark galat hai ki reservations hata doh . It's about representation , St sc obc student majorly come from govt schools , bahut sare hai jo ki coaching afford nahi kar sakte .If u are from SC category but privileged and resourceful , don't apply from category certificate. Rahe baat minimum kitne marks lana hai toh unhe apna target upar rkhna chahiye

Only for IIM A, C , I EWS cutoff is same as general cutoff (Bcoz they have not implemented full 10% seats. Only 2-3 ℅ seats are reserved for EWS in these b-schools) . But for IIM B, L, K, FMS, IIM CAP, SAP EWS cutoff is same as NC-OBC cutoff. So it depends which b-school u r targeting. U can check RTI data of each b-school separately to understand cutoff. I believe getting call is more difficult than converting. If u dont even get a call then where is the question of converting it. Once u r in interview it solely depends on individual performance, category doesn't matter much here.

Sir there are lot Sc St category students who want to opt for CAT and also ready to put in hard work but after coming across the fee structure they tend to avoid it As most of them cannot manage to pay such hefty amount.
