So just to summarize: NewJeans worded their demands as all or nothing. 1. An official apology from Ador/Hybe -Nonsense 2. Revealing identities of individuals from bullying cases and whoever said they want to abandon NJ. -The court will not allow another form of injustice to happen. NewJeans basically wants to name and shame the manager without due process. The judge will not agree with this by breaking another law. 3. Pursue civil and criminal actions against them and anyone trying to embezzle from them, and give NJ an audit report of all of these people. -It's MHJ who is being investigated for embezzlement 4. Remove of trainee videos published without their consent. -It wasn't HYBE/ADOR who released the published video. They already requested the publications to take it down. It's not up to HYBE/ADOR to scrub it off of the internet. 5. Assess damages done to them from their activities being put on hiatus. -They were not put on hiatus. The fact that they are still attending the activities laid out to them saying they are doing it against their will counters this claim. 6. Resolve issues with the MV director. -This director as well as #7 MinHiJin or any other staff are inconsequential. No contract will ever state that there are permanend management figures that will be provided. The court also has no control over as to how a corporation would handle their management/staffing. It's a matter that is in full control by the board. Any kind of employee will not have a say on this. 7. Reinstate of mhj as ceo- See #6. So basically, they are screwed. They screwed themselves. Full stop.

Recognising that no K-pop company, including HYBE, is a flawless, is a sign of maturity that in rare in K-pop these days. Could be because fandoms are becoming younger, who knows. However, recent controversies highlight how HYBE and its artists have been unfairly targeted, while the true offenders, like MHJ, have histories of arrogance and problematic behaviour. Yet, her fans, "Bunnies," and some media outlets continue to push a hate agenda against HYBE to distract from their own wrongdoings. Yes, other HYBE girl groups have faced lip-syncing accusations, and it’s true. But pretending NewJeans doesn’t do the same is dishonest. Lip-syncing isn’t unique to any group-it’s about context. Idols are human; they fall ill, endure grueling schedules, and face constant travel. Demanding perfection at all times is unrealistic. The hypocrisy becomes even starker when considering the relentless harassment other groups have endured from Bunnies this year. Despite this, none of these idols have played the victim card or accused others of bullying. They’ve handled the hate with grace and maturity. In contrast, the “victim” in question has repeatedly leaned into a victim narrative instead of addressing matters with dignity or accountability. Where is the evidence of HYBE’s alleged bullying? It remains nonexistent, yet the accusations persist. Despite clear evidence of over-entitlement and questionable behaviour, Bunnies continue to paint NewJeans as innocent victims. Instead of blindly defending them, it’s time to question the power dynamics at play. What tactics does MHJ use to keep her idols in line? Protecting someone with a history of harm isn’t just naive-it’s dangerous. This isn’t about siding with a big corporation; it’s about standing for truth and accountability. Notably, Bunnies and pro-MHJ platforms go silent whenever new evidence exposes her misconduct, letting her lawsuits take over headlines to shift focus. Yet, when HYBE faces criticism, these same voices flood social media with anti-HYBE rhetoric. The double standards and manipulation are glaring. The truth will eventually prevail. MHJ must face the consequences of her actions. Her negative influence on K-pop has gone on long enough. It’s time for accountability. Enough is enough.

Honestly, the saddest thing about this is seeing the difference between how New Jeans are being treated by kstans and how KG is being treated. Being allegedly told to be ignored by a manager of a group that MHJ allegedly falsely called out is “mistreatment” and “bullying.” Meanwhile, the actual horrific crap that KG allegedly has receipts for (that she’s actually promising to show in court if they don’t settle) is “normal for the industry.” Ador, so far, hasn’t actually shown themselves to be inhumane. JYPE USA HAS. Ador has more than enough evidence for material breaches if the contract is still considered valid. Yet, them even attempting to verify the validity of the contract instead of taking them for all they’re worth shows that they’re trying to remedy whatever “mistreatment” NJ may have experienced.

I have a lot of thoughts on this, but one thing I don't see people point out is: Why was Hani on that floor when they have section for hair and makeup just for Newjeans? The manager probably saw her hanging out on a floor she's usually not on since they are isolated by the CEO at the time as an intimidation or provocation attempt. I also wouldn't be surprised if MHJ put her up to it, and then set the wheels in motion to use it later. I don't know if the manager actually said "Ignore her" because Hani's grasp on Korean is not great. But even if they did, they work for another label, not ADOR. Then Hani and the others have been refusing to attend mediation meetings. This looks bad to me. Newjeans might end up getting in serious legal trouble, because they keep implicating themselves in MHJ's schemes of tampering and other illegal actions. They opened themselves up for ADOR to disclose the situation with staff loyal to MHJ breaking protocols and trying to get rid of incriminating evidence on NJ's behalf. Then Dispatch keeps warning their side: "Continue playing with us and the public's trust, we haven't dropped the atomic bomb, but we will if we have to." Also, if anyone knows the media well enough, there are implications behind Dispatch bringing up MHJ's willingness to use her cookies and shamanism to get what she wants. Then remember the SH case with the ADOR employee, MHJ expected the employee to do something different than reporting what the higher-up did to her. Honestly, I do feel like Newjeans has been mistreated and abused, but not by HYBE or ADOR 2.0, but Min Hee Jin. Something is seriously wrong with this picture. I am going to be real with you. The other people newjeans should actually be mad at are their parents, especially if their parents are the ones who signed their contracts. The parents didn’t seem to try to take their daughters when they were living in a dorm with bugs but you want them now that they live in a luxury apartment? Not during all the usual trainee bs but now when they are being given opportunities that other idols and trainees can only dream about
@TheHaniverse9 күн бұрын
This!! I said this to a friend too, yes it sucks that idol trainees go through those kind of terrible situations and there should be measures in place to make sure that doesn't happen no matter how small a company is - but NJs are not sympathetic martyrs for that cause! They come off as entitled, selfish brats more than righteous fighters for the rights of all idols big and small. If anything what they're doing could have a worse effect on the industry by making it harder for idols who are actually abused by their companies.

Heres my thought as someone who is the same age as the same age as hanni: 1. Im a music major i dont know alot about contracts but i do know how business works 2. They breach contract first with ador when they did their very first confrence because they made a secret account without permission ,they weren't fighting new jeans they were still in court with min heejin 3. The media slander is absurd, since they are the ones who always speak out first to the media , they always make the first moves and ador NOT hybe just responds to their claims, also its the media people are allowed to have public opinions 4. Their original plan wasn't even the fight againt mistreatment in the company, it was them defending mhj and threatening hybe to give mhj her job back , im guessing that's were their damands within their 14 days , which makes their 14 days response invalid since the court already denied mhj request to get her seat back , and ador can't force belief manager to apologize, you can't force someone to apologize , and ador replied with a 20 page letter which they refused to accept because they deamed it as" insincere ", then they replied an hour before their press conference and told them that they replied too late 5. Hanni recently just caught being in contact with mhj and didnt danielle send a letter to mhj too , which they all denied being in contact with her 6. Also them still working under ador despite saying that they terminated their contracts is another law suit right there , ador is being very nice with them because if it was any other company they would have been kicked out or in court and probably blacklisted , also in the music industry having a co-worker who is defient without evidence is a very bad look , it could be hard for them trying to look for another company unless they try to make their own music , 7. If they would have took this to court when this first started they would have gotten out of the contract faster if they had proper evidence

22:21 i need newjeans to tell us why a company would invest in a project to JUST get their investment back. What's the point of investing if you just want to make the money back, might as well not invest 💀 the point is to make more and more. Their story of "diminish our value" stems from HYBE clarifying their last cb's sales. They wanted HYBE to let the 1 million album sales in japan lie alone but since they clarified thatit was 40k while mhj told japanese distributors they would sell 150k is a loss Their comeback was NOT as successful as anticipated, it's a fact. I think they need new lawyers bc a good lawyer would tell them exclusive contracts are like marriage contracts if no fault divorces didn't exist. The party who wants to divorce needs to provide proof that there was fault so the marriage contract can be terminated. I just need mhj to sue belift for plagiarism but she's not going to bc she would lose. I need newjeans to sue ador or hybe but they're not going to bc they're going to lose. They have no grounds to sue hybe bc their contract is not with HYBE. Newjeans saying HYBE and ADOR are the same entity would mean MHJ did try to sabotage HYBE, which would contradict the court decision. ADOR was smart for asking for the confirmation of validity. Nobody is going to risk working with them bc they would be sued as soon as ADOR learned about it. And getting sued by ADOR basically means getting sued by HYBE. EDIT 6 HOURS AFTER THIS COMMENT: Not ADOR catching a manager scheduling activités for newjeans without notifying ADOR. Then the manager got caught (the brand probably told ADOR), formated their work laptop before turning it in, got caught again and admitted to it. Idk who told newjeans to mention that story bc they look very dumb rn

i commented this on a different video about the situation, but ill paste it here too: In their most recent statement, I realized something worse about all of this. A. These girls reinforced the idea that they paid off their debt. It isn't the biggest deal, but for what I'm theorizing, it might be a big deal for them. I think the reason NWJNS genuinely believes they have ZERO penalty fees is because they believe their investment fee (cost of debut and training under HYBE/ADOR) is the penalty fee. They either think the investment debt they paid off is the penalty fee, or, they think they will only get a penalty fee if they don't pay the investment debt. What they fail to realize is that the penalty fee is a fee that states the estimated revenue garnered over 7 years (July 2022--July 2029) will be paid if the contract is terminated early. So, if NWJNS is estimated to make 100M over the course of 7 years, that's what they're paying as a penalty fee. (100M isnt real number for this btw) B, These girls aren't prepped for court at all. They couldn't answer the bare bones of questions legally that reporters threw at them--and they are easy questions! Easy questions for anyone who did a little bit of legal prep. I don't think NWJNS thought ADOR would actually sue them or go after them legally. In fact, I think they've fucked themselves worse. NWJNS claimed their contract was terminated which would potentially force ADOR to file an injunction saying it wasn't terminated--burden of proof would be on ADOR. However, NWJNS and their legal team predicted or expected wrongly. Instead of filing an injunction, ADOR filed a suit to ask the COURT to decide if the contract was terminated. Because NWJNS are the ones claiming the contract is terminated, they have the burden of proving the contract is in fact terminated on proper legal grounds, or, prove ADOR violated it and mistreated them. Not only will this cost a lot of funds for them in the long run, if they have no evidence and lose the case, they're really racking up debt. Besides that, if they have no evidence, NWJNS would be sitting in court basically proving they lied and violated their own contract. So if they win, they get to leave, but if they don't, they basically prove in court that they weren't mistreated and violated their contract due to a lack of evidence. Then, they'll potentially be stuck between paying the penalty fee if they really want to leave, or they go back to ADOR. However, the backlash they will receive from going back to ADOR might be career ending. They've garnered hundreds of thousands of fans to believe they are being mistreated, are leaving the company, and want their CEO back. Going back to the company would do nothing but show that they lied (from an outsider's perspective), sent fans and others on a wild goose chase, and did all of this for nothing. They will be looked at as spoiled, lying brats, who are no-good hypocrites if this were to happen. They have somehow managed to have shot themselves in both feet and knees. TLDR: NewJeans have somehow tarred and feathered themselves even worse than before and are hostage in a legal sense.

Those girls definitely were not making 25M USD a year, neither as a group or individually; they were making approx. 2-3M a year individually. And no, the difference in earnings between an agency and idol is never going to ‘dissipate’. Not only does the agency get a percentage of their earnings - a higher percentage when they start making money, because they’re taking back the money it cost them to train them all those years - they also have other idols from which they are doing the same. Their importance to the company at the end of the day is overinflated. Otherwise, I agree with the rest of your comments.

When this comment about dissipation was made, it was not made in reference to contract renewal, it was made in reference to litigation - a really successful idol group having such high earnings that the ability to go ‘toe-to-toe’, financially, with their agency is far greater, because the gap between the 2 in earnings is a lot smaller: I’m saying that’s 💯 not the case.

But they knew they didn't have a legitimate grievance so now they're trying to make Ador actually do something against them that they can use as evidence. The thing is, if Ador does do something against them, it'll be all over for those girls. And if that happens, I will have absolutely no sympathy for the consequences they will have to deal with.

300 billion won is a little over $209 million. They are performing (they went to Japan) but apparently there was no New Jeans signage on the stage. Under what name are they performing and what songs are they singing if not New Jeans? I believe they agreed to work until the end of the year (or whatever had been agreed to prior to all this mess), so the timeline has changed. They really need legal advice.
@Chingooze20228 күн бұрын
I experience whiplash when I hear about this saga because on one side, you have a company (admittedly imperfect, like all companies) using professional language, following due process and trying to take things to a logical outcome. On the other hand, there's this fog of feelings and vague incidents. How can you be taken seriously when you're talking like you took a loan from a local savings bank, repaid it in full and now you're done? That is literally not how a business operates. As per their fans, New Jeans/ former New Jeans are playing 4D chess and have a legal masterstroke up their sleeves that no one, absolutely no one can see coming. Okay. As long as this reaches a conclusion and moves out of the court of public opinion, I will take it. It's getting tiring to keep up with all the emotional baggage - just bring the receipts and end this drama, including for the sake of NJ's own careers. It's time for them to move forward from this. The one thing that can be said for Ador is that at least they make sense.
@TheHaniverse8 күн бұрын
Exactly this! Its not that I particularly like HYBE or ADOR, but they're the only one bringing logical arguments and evidence, I just dont see how anyone can logically think NewJeans can overcome this unless they truly do have some super topic secret amazing evidence they aren't sharing.

5050 case was over quick because the company released them instead of going to trial over the member’s claims. I think they realized the members had a good chance of prevailing on both the financial and mistreatment claims. The current case is different because Hybe will not release the members, and the members case is weak. It’s hasn’t even been a year and the 5050 members are free and clear to continue their careers.
@gravy9gravy9 күн бұрын
@ They don’t have any debt to ATR. Last thing we know is they filed suit for the royalties owed by ATR to them. The suit against the givers, warners, parents and members was for tampering, not breach of contract. Now it appears to only be against Warners. Korea court proceedings aren’t public, so nobody really knows. You’re right that they didn’t have support, and that was why they got hammered by the company’s media play. In many ways the NJ situation is the complete opposite of the 50 situation. The new group will find support globally even if Korea blacklists them.

@@FifthGate Having an injunction denied is not the same as losing a case. An injunction is a request to immediately terminate the contract while the underlying case is being heard. There was never a decision in the case because Keena went back, and the contracts were terminated. This is what the members wanted and it made the case moot. It allowed the company to spin it as vindication and demonize the members, but it also released the members from the contracts to continue their careers as they wished. Seems to me like everyone won.
@gravy9gravy8 күн бұрын
@@FifthGate In his decision denying the injunction, the judge said two things. First that the medical evidence was insufficient at that time and they should come back with more, and second, that he was very concerned about the financial transparency and lack of accounting, and indeed the only case that remains is the members’ suit for royalties (about $400,000). The question I always ask the company defenders is this: Why did the company release the contracts unconditionally without a penalty? That’s exactly what the members were asking for. So yeah, even as people say that they lost the case, they still won their freedom and a lot of support for their future careers.

I do not have any sympathy for NJ. at this point the only thing I am hoping they do not commit suicide when they really realize how dumb they have been. When I learned of what MHJ was doing I wanted them to fire her. but when the company hired her back as an alternative with the request of being a creative director to the girls. that is the company bending over backward. and it took two months no apology to think about it then MHJ RESIGNED AND THESE GIRLS HAVE The balls to even think real people(not stuff bunnies). gonna feel sorry for them. I am not going to feel sorry for them. I love bts and I am an Army but MHJ I have more sympathy for her she is not very creative she is not good at anything i do not care how people see these girls as talented but they are not. The only thing these girls have is just being pretty and young. others might light them and support them. but they are not talents. the only thing MHJ teach them to be entitled and learn how to use their cookies to catch flies and try to get stuff with it. I watch some of their performance but i see no talent. Maybe if they were humble I would give them a chance. I remember TXT they are boys but very humble. i remember Jk and Jimin. they use to cry when they mess up these girls have no integrity much less humility so what am i feeling sorry for them for. if they get sued then they might filed for bankruptcy. but i hope they can get the parents for this contract breach send them all to prison for 10 to 15 years they need to be made example of. No company is perfect. no even HYBE. I AM FOR THE ARTISTS UNDER HYBE. if they mess up i expect them to apologize and will forgive them. these girls. i forgive them for been dumb and forgive their parents for being an idiot no excuse. Essentially no - From NJs side, they 'believe' they are independent, so they will try to seek contracts without interference from ADOR. On the flip side, ADOR sees the contract as valid, which means any company that wants to work with NJs MUST go through them, and they've already said they will sue anyone/company who doesn't. Meanwhile, NJs have also said they refuse to keep working with ADOR, so they will likely turn down any new schedules (which ADOR themselves would struggle to arrange since the business partner would have low confidence in the whole deal.) In short, it's a huge mess. The only reason I could see them continuing any new work is if ADOR arranges something, technically NJs are legally obliged to do it or ADOR can sue them for misconduct if the contract termination isn't recognized (which it won't be.) That's the actual reason NJs are finishing their preexisting schedules right now.

It's totally unprofessional to disparage the other party on your way out, making up a bunch of defamatory accusations as "evidence". If NJ want to leave, then they can pay their way out of the contract. But, they've ruined their own reputations with the way they've behaved, and the way they've destroyed the partnership which supported their existence and success as a group.

My theories are 1) to show other idols you can't just cancel your contract however you want 2) bunnies will support newjeans with whatever they decide.(this scenario is highly unlikely but you get the gist) If newjeans were to say, "hi, so we are signing to Belift Labs instead of ador" bunnies will support. Alot of bunnies are so focused on positivity that any other person that brings up valid concern/critic is immediately branded a hater. 3) Despite what ador wants us to believe they are simply clinging to their cashcow (just like min hee jin is). Let's just look at the group brand deals alone Nike IPhone Coca cola Calvin Klein Indomie noodles Those are extremely big brands that bring big bucks in. Not to mention their solo brand deals. Min hee jin was just smarter by building an intimate relationship with the members and thus gaining their trust. 4.1) idk if their boy group is even ready to debut. Especially with the way they are acting and the things they have said. Alot of energy has probably been put into this whole mess instead of the boygroup 4.2)newjeans is theit only artists and they know it works. The entire newjeans brand is extremely successful especially since they only have 15 songs. (five of those being promotionals). If their boygroup flops they will always have newjeans. And newjeans will only continue to grow. They haven't even reached their peaks yet

One thing first. The Unilateral Termination Clause was in the contract Ador signed. New Jeans acted according to the terms of their contract. If Ador/Hybe did nothing, New Jeans would be considered free. Ador did what they needed to do, but all that means is that NJ will file a termination lawsuit. Hybe/Ador's "We Love New Jeans" stance is just bullshit public relations. I mean, would you expect them to say "Yeah, it's all good. We screwed up so we'll let them go"? Of course not. They're going to fight this to the end because they're terrified others will do the same. This will go to court to determine the final outcome, and I don't think Hybe is going to be crazy about having all their dirty laundry over New Jeans exposed in public. I stand with New Jeans.

If they wanted to lay the hammer down, Ador would've sued the girls for breach of contract. Since they've only requested a judge to review and determine the validity of the contract, the girls aren't caught up in a major lawsuit. Believe it or not, Ador is still trying to protect them (for now) since Ador still considers them under their management.

The contract clause requires a significant breach by Ador, which NJ has not yet proven. The 14 day demands did not state anything that could point to a significant breach, and also included several things that would not be pertinent to their contract terms or even be the responsibility of Ador to resolve. Finally, just because a contract can be terminated does not mean that there would be no termination fees as a result - hence the need for a legal determination. The girls and their followers don't actually understand contract terms.
