Katt said that Ced attended one of his shows when he performed _that_ joke and Ced complimented him on THAT joke back stage. So, there was acknowledgement. When Katt saw Ced's routine on the Original Kings of Comedy, he DID address it. Another comic, Scruncho, confirmed Katt's version of events because he was on the phone with Katt who informed him that Ced also stole _his_ pop locking stand-up routine and _performed_ it on Original Kings of Comedy. What infuriated Katt was that he hashed this quarrel with Ced 10 YEARS AGO by giving him a pass, but saw Ced flat out lie about it on Club Shay Shay. We all know that Katt didn’t do that joke in 2017 or 2018. When he mentioned that in the Shay interview, he even said he had the dates wrong. I actually have the VHS of the stand up this joke was performed in, and it was done in 1998. It also was a dead giveaway when Shay asked Cedric about comedians stealing each other’s joke and he replied: “oh, it’s the business, it happens all the time. I’ve had jokes stolen from me.” As if to say, it’s ok to steal jokes from other comedians, and since mine’s have been stolen, I’m going to ahead and steal some from somebody else.

I saw Kings of Comedy when Ced did that joke it brought the house down. One of the best of the night so I can see how it was artistically crafted and why it ws a big deal. It wasn't just comedy it was good theatre!!

He modified the joke enough to where it would be questionable, the music cueing up and the chair as prop to impression black culture in vehicles was the foundation, and it was stolen.

Definitely was inspired by Kat Williams! Its the same layout/set up of the joke. Its just a different joke/punch line, if that makes sense. Either way, Cedric's joke wouldn't have lost anything by acknowledging that Kat Williams inspired him.

If he didn’t steal Katy’s joke wouldn’t it make sense that Ced would be offended/outraged/angry/indignant that he was accused of stealing another comedian’s the joke? Wouldn’t a reasonable response be for Ced to say: “What?? He’s lying! Katt stole my joke!” I write that joke!”….It’s part of the business…….If that’s what he believes…..people have stolen jokes from me.” That’s a reasonable response to a false allegation. That makes no kinda sense. He is NOT a good liar at all.

For real when Cedric was out performing I had personally never heard of Kat Williams so it is difficult to make a case for him in that instance. Black folks need to stop infighting over petty things while our overall situation in this country is far from stable. We need to focus on really important things. Yeah, this is clearly inspired(if not plain stolen) from Katt. The reason I say stolen from Katt, is because if Cedric really was doing that joke for years before Katt did it, why did he not say anything to him about, especially when he saw him do it live and talked to him backstage afterwards?

Because he doesn't think it's stealing a joke just because he says "car" in the same joke or pretends to drive. Just because Kat used a stool and leaned back to pretend to drive with 'one hand on the wheel' doesn't mean no other comedian ever is allowed to do that now. How ridiculous would that be. Any time a comedian pantomimes something, no one is allowed to do it after that. Swimming, oh you can't do swimming motions now, someone already made a swimming joke. Horse back riding. Nope. Can't use that, it's already used.

He stole elements of it and incorporated into his. Yea he took it. Had he just said yea I used that joke and did the same thing with my own spin to it then we wouldn’t be debating it. But acting like he don’t know what Katt is talking about is pissing me off lol. He deserves all of what Katt Williams sending his way. He gotta eat that.
