Teaching Jovi it's time to grow up & stop trying to drink from the milk bar. Its no longer open 24/7 & mom won't always be there to comfort you when you cry. Thats why you'll see jovi screaming & crying, throwing tantrums, & joyce not going to her. She knows that its just her throwing a tantrum b/c mom doesn't want her attached all the time. Jovi literally just keeps trying to latch on when Joyce is pushing her off. Like pushing her mom's arms away & trying to get around them. I've seen her swat Joyce in the face when she's pushed her off her nipple. Joyce bit her for that one.

It is still learning period for baby Jovi to survive in water. She is one of the most well behaved babies in sovanna and seldom throws tantrums, she is intelligent understands what is "no" from Joyce. Joyce needs to be on alert all the time to ensure Jovi is not taken or kidnapped or abused. Just look at the big pigtail monkeys going after Jovi like a pack of hyenas. Fortunately, Jovi, at 4 months old, has some good commando training from Joyce and she is fast and nimble enough to run away from grasping hands of the big monkeys. But Jovi is afterall still a nursing baby and requires protection of her mom. Juvenile Lucie and big baby Leo are still nursing compared to Jovi who is still very young and requires nutritious breast milk for her mental and physical development.Joyce will know how to raise her better than anyone of us commenting on what she should or should not do.

Jovi is only 4 months old and she is criticised by viewers for continuing to nurse from Joyce and also that Joyce should leave her baby to fend for herself. But Lucie who is more than a year old and Leo who is 7 months are getting every support from viewers to continue nursing from their respective moms Luna and Libby. Even Royston and Zuri who are both older than Jovi are pitied and encouraged to nurse from other monkey moms. Why the double standards?

Jovi is so spoiled compared to other pigtailed babies, Look at her, she can barely walk properly because Joyce basically carried her every day 24/7 since birth lol. It's time to cut that umbilical cord and let the kid walk now. She needs to learn to use her own legs to run fast in case Joyce isn't right there in an attack, aka drama fights set up by these vile cameramen which we've already seen many times over on Joyce while Jovi was tiny. Feeding schedules should have started happening already but seems since this is Joyce's first child she's still learning herself. Looks like Joyce is now going to start possibly only breastfeeding Jovi when either she's eating, taking a mid-day nap, or when they go to sleep at night. Which is usually what step happens before the major wean starts. Time for Jovi to learn how to use her own legs & stop expecting her mom to carry her all day like she is now. I love how the other troop members were encouraging & helping show Jovi how to walk/follow along with them. The weaning process is hard for all these monkey kids but people are ridiculous for saying Jovi will be different from all the rest before her both pigtail & long-tailed. I can honestly say I don't believe I've ever seen Jovi forage on her own 🤔 That's also about to start any day now. Time will tell how fast Jovi catches on. Hopefully, she's a smart girl like her mama and learns quickly because she's going to see the resistance against her mom isn't going to work in her favor! Joyce was easy on Jovi, she's had life SUPER easy compared to other pigtailed kids in this park. Now we will see IF the "gentle mom" routine works better when it comes to her learning to forage instead of milk bar every time she's hungry, walking/following instead of being carried & of course the wean, versus the "tough(er) love" version of teaching & preparing them to be independent right from birth. Joyce coddled Jovi so to speak, so now is when it's going to be a super harsh reality check for Jovi. We shall see how it all turns out ☝🏻😌 5:25 Instead of being attached to Mom's chest right now she should be off Mom completely and sitting under her picking up ALL the scraps and pieces Mom is dropping. Jovi's going to learn, she's literally willing to leave food to go run to Mom's side when she's sitting right there. 8:36 Joyce should have ripped her off or signaled for Jovi to get down to walk on her own. In my opinion, these are mistakes by Mom, but again this is her 1st child so she's still learning too. I bet u she does the next one different IF Jovi is hard to wean. We shall see 🦧🐒
