No. First of all to have a second wife in islam the woman has to be either Christian or jewish. She has to FOLLOW her religion, which means no drinking, veil, virgin and prayer must be there. Now finding a woman that fits this category in Christian or Jewish areas is almost impossible. The man has to be able to provide finically to both, ie if he gets the 55 year out a necklace he must get the same for the 20 year old. Most importantly the 55 year old wife HAS to agree or else the marriage will not be accepted, same with the 20 year old wife. 60 year old man cannot do it out of pure lust. In the husband's wife's relationship, husbands are superior over their wives because they spend on them from their means. It does not mean that every man is inherently superior to every woman. It also does not mean men are in general better than women. Among parents Allah has given more fazeelat to mother than father. Among spouses Allah has given more fazeelat to husband than wife. So in Islam it's balanced. Men and women are equally but differently important. As per who is more beloved to Allah men or women? Answer is the one who is more mindful and obedient to Allah is more beloved. So men and women both have an equal and fair chance to be beloved of Allah A man has to be obedient (after Allah) to his mother, who is a woman A woman has to be obedient (after Allah ) to his husband, who is a man

This also implies that in order for a man to be higher in degree, he has to be married and take responsibility.
