Really? Shockwave? It’s not the truck people will miss as it can be replace but the life that was lost can not be. We can only hope and pray that he was killed when it flipped and not in the fire. RIP

I was the EMS Director at E'town, Raceway Park. I saw the earlier version of this truck when it was first built run the 1/4 mile. It's a thrill to be sure. There was another jet truck run by Bob Motez only one jet engine but still an incredible piece of engineering.

We lost Shockwave and its legendary driver today at Battle Creek. Chris Darnell was by all means an amazing showman who even with a machine that would make it hard to be humble, was one chilled-out nice guy. The Airshow world will never forget his showman spirit and the machine he handled so well.
