I always believed Draco and Pansy (Dransy) to have been romantically involved at some point. And at the very least I’m sure Pansy had strong feelings for Malfoy. Im sure it must’ve killed her inside that Draco’s pureblood beliefs no longer held true after Voldemort’s final defeat. She may have even tried to remind him of it, only to have him shut her out of his life permanently. My guess is that she never married and remains a modern day pureblood facist. A bully still stuck in her high school days.

I think Draco needed a complete new start after the war, he couldn't have just got together with someone who reminded him so much of everything he went through. I also strongly believe that Draco was never a truly "bad guy" but a good person raised and influenced by very evil people. Pansy, on the other hand.. I'm sure she always really truly believed in what she stood for. She was an idealist and a fascist I believe. (Oh and also, a lesbian. But that's just my theory haha)

The only thing Im really mad for, is when McGonagall says to Filch that ALL SLYTHERINS are going to the dungeons when the only one who spoke was Pansy. Now if you ask me Pansy Parkinson left The Hogwarts District Of The British Isles and relocated to The Ilvermorny Territory Of North America after The Battle Of Hogwarts Of 5-2-1998 and she started a much different life style after that. The direct attack of Voldemort against Hogwarts as well as Draco choosing Astoria Greengrass instead of Pansy Parkinson might have changed her view point after this and no longer believed in or supported Voldemort style beliefs and or causes after this.

I've always loved pansy. Not entirely sure why. She's been an interesting character in my eyes. One of the few slytherin characters with no connection to death eaters, I feel she's a genuinely good person who got wrapped up in the stigma of being a pure blood slytherin and decided to embrace it. Her affection for Draco could very well have been her ambition to be well connected manifesting itself in a sort of false love. Man, I love pansy. Slytherins (in general) get a bad rap, and are actively discriminated against by the other Houses. While the others favor virtues like Courage, Wisdom and Loyalty, Slytherin is falsly called the House from which all dark wizards and witches come. Not surprising that much resentment would cause people of Salazar's House to want to wreak as much havoc as possible in retaliation for their treatment at the hands of others. And that "not a single dark witch or wizard" expression becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy. Slytherin is called the House of manipulation and ambition. But if you really break it down, their House is that of "survival by *any* means necessary". Salazar empathized that all his followers look out for their own well-being, and hold their own reputations and survival first and foremost. Push comes to shove, I'd wager a Slytherin will still be standing if push comes to shove.

Idk why but I honestly really Pansy's character when I add in my own assumptions (which may be inaccurate, I don't know all the lore) because as cruel as they are bullies are rarely just like that, I always thought that she was the sort of person who was very insecure about her appearance, I like the idea that her being said to have a 'puggish' face is also an in universe thing (by that I mean like people actually say it to her, not just about her, I couldn't think of better phrasing) people say to her, I think deep down she's not all that bad but it's because she's in with a bad crowd that she's like this, I like to think she feels the need to out do everyone (e.g. if she went to the Yule Ball and heard someone call Hermione beautiful then she'd want to be seen as define in order to 1: feel a little less insecure about her appearance and 2: feel like she's the best, someone who'd honour her family who (if I remember correctly) was on the Sacred 28 which I assume would mean that they'd only want the 'best' daughter, I was also really disappointed that she gets so little screentime in the films, I hope this new series changes that.

Personally, I don't think Pansy ever had a real crush on Draco, I think it just appeared that way because of her friendship with him & she just went along with it (i'm sure people in their world though Pansy had a crush on Draco) because she either didn't care what people thought and let people think that's so or because she was hiding something. I think before their 7th year ended or shortly after it ended, Pansy stopped being friends with Draco because of him & his family having fallen out of Voldemort's graces and him & his family's reputation being tarnished by the media and she didn't want to be associated with Draco because of those reasons.

I honestly love the artwork that you use in these videos. All are drawn beautifully. I also love that you state who own each pieces of art in the videos too. Don't know many other KZbinrs who do that :) Respect. I'm not surprised that Pansy and Draco didn't become a couple at the end. While she was apart of a pure-blooded family and one of the sacred 28 (some facts that the Malfoy family will be interested in) they didn't really...mash well. It was obvious that Draco was using her affections for him to his advantage in the books. I don't think he ever cared for her romantically. And he might've changed drastically after the Battle of Hogwarts. So much so, that he fell in love with Astoria (I don't know if this was an arranged marriage still). I don't know. Great video, it was very informative and quite helpful to me as I am currently attempting to do the impossible which is redeem Pansy as a character in fan fiction which is a lot harder than it looks because she has little to no redeeming qualities to begin with which I personally blame JK for that as she specifically stated that Pansy was a mash up of all the girls that bullied her going as far to say that she didn't deserve a happy ending. As for the whole Dransy thing I don't think that she "loved him" loved him but loved what he could offer her in the long run. The Malfoy family were super influential and had their fingers in a lot of pies, my personal theory is that Pansy acted the way she did in regards to Draco as a means to further increase her own family's standing on the orders of her parents. One thing that stood out to me in the video (which is amazing btw) was that her actions in the great hall at the battle weren't evil but done so out of fear and desperation which was understandable since Riddle had an army of psychopaths, werewolves and soul sucking monsters under his command while what did the good guys have? A school full of teenagers that logically wouldn't stand a chance in hell against him.....was her actions selfish? Most definitely but they were not evil. Pansy Parkinson while a bigot and a bully, she wasn't evil per say. Just a spoilt brat who thought her heritage, family name and wealth made her better than others as for what happened to her after Hogwarts I have no idea because I highly doubt she would have returned to Hogwarts after the war but choose to leave the country entirely >_>
