Kingsley Shacklebolt was a pure-blood wizard in the employment of the Ministry of Magic. He worked for the Ministry as an Auror, but joined the reconstituted Order of the Phoenix in 1995 after the return of Lord Voldemort. He attended Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry to which his house was unknown.

I always considered Kingsley Shacklebolt as the Mace Windu (SW) of the Wizarding World. He's smart, powerful, and for the most part, in full control of the situations he found himself in. As an Auror, Kingsley was a warrior who didn't do the things he did for recognition (like some wizards and witches that I know) but simply did what he could because he knew it was the right thing to do. Which is why he'll always be my personal hero in the Harry Potter mythos. SIDENOTE: It also helps that he was believed to be a Ravenclaw - like me! Thanks for making this vid about one of my favorite characters in the Harry Potter universe!!

There was likely an article in The Daily Prophet that revealed his innocence as well as his true allegiance to Dumbledore, The Order of The Phoenix, and, most of all, Harry. So, his name was eventually cleared but it was far too late.

Watching the golblet of fire right now and now it got me thinking. How did no one know that wormtail was working for voldemort when Harry's parents were alive? Snape was a death eater he should have seen him at some point. And wormtail has voldemorts mark on his arm, so how did no one see it or notice it at all
