Shoe Review: Vans “Comfy Cush” Era (Suede/Black/Marshmallow)

Originally, Vans were made for skaters that needed a light and grippy shoe. You sacrificed comfort for performance. I used to skate in Vans, and at the end of my session, my feet had heel bruises and hurt. I stopped skating years ago, but I am interested in trying these as a casual shoe.

These were so dangerous soon as you would hit a puddle! If you weren’t careful... you’d hit the deck... even w full tread!! I don’t doubt somebody had a lawsuit and they have decided to change the bottom for the better! This new upgrade is doooope! The rubber will definitely give you more confidence for when it gets wet! I know this was like a year ago but if you want shows to last longer get a half size up and clean them monthly or weekly depends on color.

I just bought the classic canvas style of these. My complaint with these is my regular size is a little big but the size down was too small. I owned the exact style back in the 90s and the sizing was much better. I am a girl and I honestly like the old unisex sizing better.

The pro vans have more cushin than regular vans do. If you were to skate in regular vans your feet would be destroyed in the first couple of mins of skating. Pro vans are meant to be comfortable for skating.

Laycosp pro vans are heavier and stiffer but make no mistake once broken in a bit, they are veeeeery comfortbable for walking everyday

how does the comfycush compare to the ultra cush? thinking of getting a pair but i dont know if theyre an improvement to the ultra cush sk8 hi pro I already have

Tough call.. they definitely have different feels. I haven’t worn the Comfy Cush enough to really compare them w/ the Pro’s, but you can never go wrong with a Sk8-Hi Pro, so comfortable.

LBIFBACK I’ve got the sk8 hi pro and the slip on pro. I was never really a fan of vans cause they were too hard like the old converse the chuck ii was alright tho it seems to of faded away

I remember the lite slip ons being unwearable seeing as the cushioning would raise my foot so much my foot would come out while walking. Hope these won't have the same problem.

The outer sole is gum and white instead of just gum.

I have some "old" nmd's, they have holes, and the sole has a disgusting color of the wear. I just really find them comfy, i have 2 other pairs, but they don't come even close to the NMD's How do these compare to the NMD's?
