Started switching my shoe storage into the shoe boxes tonight. I don't want to do the picture on the front thing, so I'm writing on a flap of the box that won't be seen when shipped. Brand, size, color, small description in sharpie. :) I'm doing the 4 way box fold on one end to close them for now so I don't have to tape them shut yet.

Thank you in advance for your tips.....as I have embraced many of them. The roll of butcher paper was gold and I use that now. 75% of my sale are shoes, and although I use the USPS shoe boxes as well, I do store them differently than you. Almost like your clothes boxes, I use clear 72 qt. Hefty clear plastic bins, put them in 9x12 clear bags and put them in, toe side down, and can fit 12 to 20 pairs (depending on shoe size) in each. My shoe inventory is about 400. Boots go on separate shelves on their own. I don't box pre-box them because I yard sale about 15% of my stale inventory each Spring to clear more space and reduce old listings. I wrap each shoe in free Ebay tissue paper to reduce shoe to shoe friction, then put them in one clear plastic bag to prevent any water damage enroute. I think this system saves me some time. Excellent idea for shoes. I have over 1100 shoes in stock, I love the taking photo and ready to ship idea. No more making mistakes plus easy to spot them, I would probably assign one rack for each size.

I do exactly this except I wrap each shoe in tissue paper so the bag doesnt stick to them and I stuff the bottom, sides and top with a piece of heavy paper... Then I write an inventory number on the small flap...and stack so I can see... I dont tape one end in case I need to add anything to the box, like a note or a small item... I always go for protection over pretty when it comes to packaging and sending..

I ship the shoes in one bag with the soles touching to save on plastic waste. The photos are very cool, but isn’t it wasteful? They are .50 cents each a photo. Other than that, great tips. Love your videos 💕

Common sense would say to repack bundle sales but realistically you are not going to get a bundle sales on shoes.

Have you considered packing them sole to sole so that the bottoms are the only thing that makes contact? This way you can save on shipping bags.

Hi! I've recently found that the medium flat rate box works wonders for shoes! I don't have as much empty space like I do in the shoe box. But of course that wouldn't work for eBay. Sometimes a regional A box works too for sandals and stuff! I need to get some clear bags though thats really smart!

Been watching almost all of your video along with some other people's video about selling on Poshmark. I have learned whole alot and am working on starting selling clothes on Poshmark. Just placed few orders of supplies that you listed/suggestions on amazon! I hope I will have sort of grand opening of my closet soon once I get my supplies in the mail! Thanks Jenna for walking us through your process instead of just showing your supplies or the end result. How about when you sell the shoes in a bundle with other items? Do you take them out of the shoe box and put them all in a larger box? How do you pack boots and high heels without rubbing against each other and prevent the heels from getting broken?

Hi! If I have to add another item I will just open the box and add in the other item if it fits or place in a larger box. The shoes are all packaged individually in the plastic so that protects them. When you stuff the box with paper it keeps the shoes from moving around. I have never had any issues with heels being messed up in a shipping box because the box usually protects it. I hope that helps! Oh and you can re-use the original shoe box for a different pair.

I like to stuff them as well then I use tissue paper to wrap each shoe individually. last I put both shoes in a poly mailer and stick them in the shoe box with one side sealed and the other side just folded over like a 4 way fold just in case it sells in a bundle . That way I can just get the packaged shoes in the one poly mailer and add it to the bundle I love the idea of adding a picture to the shoe box ! I just can’t afford 😂 so I think ima just use I cute font and type out descriptions of the shoes and stick them on to the box for now

You know printing the picture out for shoes is a great idea, but aren't those pictures expensive, I think printing from phone thru regular computer and using plain Jane index cards - would possibly be more cost effective even if we used color. Let's see if I can figure out how to do that.. Nevertheless- great idea for locating those shoes.. Just needs s slight tweek. -Another way to save on plastic and packaging, use Gift wrap tissue paper to separate the shoes in the same package, but I love your attention to detail and care.. You care more than shoe store employees. putting some paper in the front of the shoe is a great idea too.. Can't wait to watch your other videos on cleaning shoes and choosing shoes to sell. You're welcome! No I have never had that issue. Just make sure your item is clean before storage. I also store my items inside in a temperature controlled area. I feel like that could be an issue if you stored outside/in a garage perhaps.

I have a question...I am currently gathering items, mainly from Goodwill, in preparation for selling on Poshmark. (Doing a little homework and getting the right equipment, etc.). What's your best way to sanitize the insides of shoes, like uggs, etc.? Thanks the pic of the shoes on the box is a really smart idea, I just think it would end up being costly, since you'll end up just throwing them away. Or am I wrong? Lol I know the device it self is like $100+,but I'd use that outside of inventory too. More or less how much is it per print, would you say? I really love the idea, just don't want to have another expensive to add to the list.

When I sell online on various sites (nothing listed currently) I just figure out what size box I need for each bigger item then I keep the box folded & kept with the item in a see through box. I keep packing paper handy, too. I used to print photos from my regular printer, but yes it gets expensive. The small items I box up, but don't completely close. I also weigh & measure the boxes & write on the inside flap before listing. For me I like having everything figured out in advance. They all go in another box or boxes. I just take scrap paper & put what site the box is for. No looking. If I have a lot I just write up a list of what's in the box & tape it to the box. Then I cross off what's been sold. That works really well for when you don't have a lot to sell. Jenna has over 6,000 items for sale. For her it's probably quicker to have it all ready to go.

Check out this article about cleaning and sanitizing uggs: www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/2015/01/clean-ugg-boots.html I know UGG also makes a special spray you can use on the inside. Also, you can definitely just use a regular printer to print of a picture for the box OR you could just write the style/size on a label as well. Whatever is easiest for you. The photo printer is just a suggestion but it is NOT a necessity :)

Thanks. I sell on ebay soon joining posh, but what i usually do is package ALL items once I've listed them, thank you cards and all lol. I have an alphabet/number system. If in a poly I have mini binder clips and use small post-it's from the dollar tree. (recycling the post-it's once sold) for big boxes, I'll actually tape the boxes or envelopes and tape on the post-it. Once sold just remove the post-it and reuse

You're welcome! Yes I use the same paper with strappy shoes. You could also use tissue, but I like the butcher paper is a little stiffer. I do ship brand new in box shoes in the original box. I try to find a priority box that will fit the shoe box depending on the shape.

Thank you! No problem you don't need the printer. You could either print on regular paper/regular printer OR you could just write the style/size on a piece of paper instead. The photo printer isn't a necessity.
