Toddler Hairstyle | Shoelace Accent
Oh how I LOVE accent braids into side ponytails! It is definitely one of my favorite things to come up with, and this accent is so great! It is cute, it is easy, it stays put for TWO WHOLE DAYS! It really is such a great hairstyle for toddlers and I hope that you enjoy recreating it yourself!

Step By Step Instructions:
1// Part out a square section of hair in the front half of the head to the ear and clip it out of the way.
2// Take all of the remaining hair and brush/comb it into a side ponytail and secure it with an elastic.
3 // Unclip the square section and part it in have from the front of the head to the back.
4// With the right section, part it into 3 separate pieces and secure each section with an elastic. {TIP: I put a colored elastic in the front section and a clear elastic in the second and third section. We will be doubling up on elastics, so this will make the second and third section not look so BOLD in color! }
5// Do the same thing with the right have of the square...part it into 3 sections and add 3 elastics (colored, clear, clear).
6// Now to create the accent!! Take the 2 front ponytails and split them in half.
7// Take the right half of each section and add them to the middle right ponytail with a COLORED elastic.
8// Take the left half of each of those same ponytails, and add them to the middle left ponytail with a COLORED elastic.
9// Now do the same thing with the 2 middle ponytails. Split them in half, add the 2 right half to the bottom right ponytail, and the left half to the bottom left ponytail. Secure both with a COLORED elastic, if you'd like! But I totally recommend using a colored elastic as it adds a bit of POP to the style, and toddlers love color!
10// Now braid the 2 ponytails coming out of the last colored elastics and secure them to the side ponytail that we created in step 2.
11// Add a ribbon, or a bow, or nothing...it's up to you! And you can just leave the ponytail as is, or curl it, or add another braid. Again...it's totally up to you! So many fun options!
12// DONE!
